very basic information, and the purchase screen pops up about once a minute, interrupting anything you were reading. Better to just google for free bangkok guides like lonely planet

Waste of time downloading. Says it's free with in app purchases. How about once you download it's useless unless you pay $3. Every option or map needs to be downloaded for a fee. Deleted it.

Not 100% offline
Not worth the download. If you want offline maps you must pay for them. Nothing of value is in this app. I highly recommend searching for a different app if an offline map app is what you are looking for.
Good Bangkok Travel Companion
I went three weeks to Thailand, where I've spent two in Bangkok. Offline maps were useful as Bangkok is a big city and it is handy to have the maps in your smartphone, and they don't get crumpled! I liked the Augmented Reality Feature, specially when I went to Vimanmek Palace and Silom District. Language aid is also very helpful.

Not bad, but could be a little better.
This application is not bad. It provides a pretty thorough overview of the city and is an adaquite resource for travelers. However, the navigation is slightly off a bit. This application is supposed to have a metro map as a reference guide, but I am unable to access it for some reason. When I try to access the metro map, I am redirected to another section of the guide, which is rather frustrating. It is a good resource, but needs a little more work.

Better hope you can read Thai!
Bangkok maps are all in Thai, no transit maps at all. Shopping, nightlife, etc, just a single short, generic paragraphs on the Bangkok scene, with no details or recommendations. You'd do much better to spend an hour on the Internet with a pen and paper.
