Decent but missing Dark Mode
Without Dark mode it’s very difficult to use the app at night.

Nagging issues like sometimes ads stay on top of news and doesnt go until scrolling
Sweeping should not trigger ads
By just sweeping (for scrolling) on top of an ad, the ad suddenly pop up... This should happen when tapping
Disappointed — Still No Dark Mode in 2025!
I really expected better from Prothom Alo’s app. It’s one of the top Bangla newspapers, but it still doesn’t have dark mode, which is standard in almost every app these days. Reading news at night is a pain — the bright white background strains the eyes, and it feels outdated. The content is good, but the user experience is seriously lacking. Please add dark mode soon — it’s a basic feature that readers have been asking for for years!

Earlier it was good enough. But now it turns into a garbage! Every time I click to read a news , I can see only ads no news at all. The headlines have become irrelevant , illogical in terms of the inner details.

If there an app that is the king of crashes then it is this app. The app has various levels of crashes - random crashes, timed crashes, crashing while tapping on the ‘Alochito’ section, scroll-time crashes, and many more. Kudos to the developers for mastering the art of app crashing.

Scroll is Laggy
New app UI is way better than the old one. But page scrolling is not smooth in this new version. Feels like I’m using a 40 Hz refresh rate in a 120 Hz display. However, thanks for iOS gesture based back button inclusion. Please fix the refresh rate issue.
Difficult to Navigate
It’s very hard to make a comment. I have logged in so many times but the app keep kicking me out. The commenting system is so primitive! I can’t believe that a leading newspaper has such backdated app. The more frustrating thing is that, things don’t change either. The issue with the comments has been there for years now.

Redesigned App (version 6.2) Needs Modification
Ad-free version of iOS app needed. If need against subscription. Apps are distracting and may carry malware. Please take it seriously
Super Slow
Version 8.2 is super slow, sluggish scrolling degrading user experiences. Always ask to log in, may be sso does not work properly, which is not encouraging to add comments.

The text choices are limited,does not change according to system font size, the app has no dark mode, and it feels even worse than the website sometimes. The content is good though.Thanks 😊

Can not log in into the ios app! Screen freezes every-time while submitting the password.
