MANY Old Time Banjo players use a capo to get to A and D. There is an old time D I found but have to use open A. I’ll get there.

Waste of five bucks EDIT I’m happy now

I downloaded this app based on a YouTube video that made look wonderful. Not so. Any time you touch anything on the screen, it freezes up. It’s USELESS.

EDIT: The developer contacted me to tell me that the problem was fixed, and it is. Now I’m really happy with the app. Very useful to a beginning banjoist. Thanks developer!

I received an email from Apple letting me know that the developer responded to my earlier review, and took some of my advice and made their app even better. Now, users are able to select a tuning for both 4 and 5 string banjos, as well as the chord types, and it seems as though there may be additional chord types from when i first downloaded it. I’m really impressed with the developer’s response and the functionality of this app now. Bravo!!

With our latest update, we’ve fixed the issue where the screen would freeze when opening certain menus. The app now runs smoothly and continues to provide access to thousands of chords across all positions and tunings.

Now works with the updated version

Previously, changing settings would cause the program to freeze, but now everything works smoothly.

Waste of five bucks

I downloaded this app based on a YouTube video that made look wonderful. Not so. Any time you touch anything on the screen, it freezes up. It’s USELESS.

Poor App

Purchased this App Dec 2023 Keeps freezing continuously kept it thinking that some updates might fix it but after 2 years of Nothing changing wouldn’t advise anytime bother paying for it just a waste of money no refund policy just going to report it to Apple to remove from App Store only gave 1star rating to be able to post but Definitely a minus 5 for ratings

App is clearly broken, half the buttons just put you in a foggy screen thats has no exit, for ing you to reset app. I will be applying for a refund.

Good, but needs improvement

I downloaded the “lite” version of this app, which was fairly useless…but i saw that it had potential and decided to pay the $4.99 for the full version. It really bothers me that some developers offer a “lite” version of an app, that barely functions…i wish they would simply allow you to test out the app to see if it’s what you’re looking for and then ask you to pay for the full version or just pay up front, though oftentimes, you never know what you’re getting until you’ve paid the fee…it’s a poor business model in general, but all the same, i purchased the full version with the hope that it would deliver. I also deleted the “lite” version after my purchase…again, if developers spend the time creating a full-fledged app, maybe combining the lite version with the full version and allowing users to unlock those additional features with their purchase rather than having two separate apps.

In the full version, you have access to possibly thousands of chords, and are able to choose what position you want to play them in. According to one of the videos i watched, you’re supposed to also be able to choose a tuning…i’m still trying to learn the app, but i will say that when i click on the “buttons” at the top right, the screen basically goes frosty and i have to quit the app to get back to the basic screen.

I do enjoy the playback feature under each chord diagram. Helpful to hear the sounds and it’s also helpful to have a variety of chord types, not only major and minor, but augmented, diminished, 7th, 9th, etc. Not sure how many banjo players are looking for those chord types, but it seems like a great reference all the same.

For now, this app should allow me to search for a chord quickly and not always have to carry around a chord book in my case.

Problem With Hanging

I just installed the app and paid for full functionality. Every time I attempt to change anything (chord type, position, tuning, etc.), the app hangs. I have restarted my iPhone, deleted and reinstalled the app, but the problem persists. I am running iOS 18.0 - any suggestions? The app looks terrific if I can just get it running properly.

Downloaded on my iPhone 13 and anytime I open settings it freezes. I paid for premium and don’t even get the pleasure of enjoying this. Pls fix it
