Disappointed subscriber
Unacceptable communication with customer service!
Have been On-line subscriber since the first week available.
The E addition rarely downloads . Goes to App and nothing appears when clicked.
Cannot reach customer service. Have been paying for months with little or no availability.

Good but opening issues
I find the app works well once open. Moving from page to page and section to section is easy and when you choose an article it comes up in very readable form in the right hand column.
I do frequently have a problem getting the edition I select (ie, that morning’s paper)to open in this readable form. Often I have to click on the selected edition multiple times before it will open. Rather than opening, the program takes me back to exactly the same page and I have to try opening it again, and again. Sometimes I have had to close the app and start over. A few times I finally gave up for that morning….
I would be delighted if you could clean that up. Thanks.

Update bad
The most current version is disappointing. I like to read my hometown newspaper on my iPad when I travel. Previous version made that a pleasure. This version so frustrating that I've all but given up. I hope developers will revisit previous version, then review the current app & speedily update again to recover the ease of reading lost w/ the update.

Bad ABH
New app is unusable. Will not allow me to load today's paper. It is stuck on the day before. Scroll sometimes produces a blank page. Please fix!
This is perhaps the worst APP I have ever seen.
What are you thinking? This is an APP to be used by paying subscribers. The idea is so I can read my newspaper. Since I am a paying subscriber you don't have the right to spam me with advertisements every few seconds. I just want to read my paper. I don't want any of the other stuff. The old app was much better although it was a bit bloated. If this is not fixed, and fixed soon, I will be finding another way to read my paper or will be finding another paper to read.

Awful update
In the fine tradition of the Athens "newspaper," the Banner Herald took an app that worked just fine and "fixed" it. Now it freezes regularly and pages don't load. I'd give the update zero stars if I could. Fix the fix, please!
Worst app I've ever seen
The paper used to be easy to read and simple. This update does not work.
I timed the pop up ads - they come up one minute after I close them. Every time. I couldn't get back to the rest of the paper when I finally went to the ad to see if I could get rid of it that way.
Absolutely awful. Not worth the bother. I'm with the last writer - if it doesn't get fixed I'm cancelling my subscription.

Bad move!
Where did my "A" icon go on my iPad? It is replaced with "online-Athens" icon on my iPad. How did this happen, I did not change it?
Terrible
This worked fine before the update. Now my paper will not download and freezes at about 95 percent. Will not be renewing unless this gets fixed soon
Recently Unstable
I'm deducting a star because they've been doing something lately that has made it unstable - it requires me to sign in frequently and then rejects my valid password until I delete and reinstall.
Previously, however, this app worked well. It displays an accurate depiction of the actual newspaper, complete with ads and comics, and you can expand the size of the print as required for your eyesight.

Designed by those who still prefer quill pens. Just try and get an online subscription. Perhaps they might look at a professional product, like The Guardian.
Great app
I've had this app since it can out it's just like reading the paper newspaper having had any serious problems with it except it downloads a little slow then it has to be process other than that I really like this app hasn't crashed yet.
