About
A shared notebook for money between people who trust each other.
The idea. You lent your brother 200 in March. Your flatmate covered dinner twice. baqaya is where those go, so nobody has to remember and nobody has to nag.
Recording. Who, how much, which direction it went, when it is due, and a note if you want one. Each entry shows on your dashboard as active, partly repaid, settled or overdue.
Agreeing. Link up with a friend by username and an entry you record appears on their side too, counting once they confirm it. Repayments work the same way — either of you logs one, the other confirms. One shared record instead of two conflicting memories.
Your position. Total lent, total owed and the net between them, in your default currency with everything converted. Entries in other currencies keep their original amount alongside.
Settling. Log partial or full repayments against any entry. When the balance reaches zero it settles itself and moves to the archive with its history intact.
Keeping up. Notifications for friend requests, entries waiting on your confirmation, and repayments logged against yours.
Anywhere. Sign in with your email and password. Your records sync between the app and the web version at arttools.live/baqaya.
What baqaya is not. It is a record-keeping tool, like an expense tracker or a notes app. It does not lend money, arrange or broker loans, process payments, transfer funds, charge interest or check anyone's credit. Every figure is one you type in yourself.
