Annoying upswell attempt
Tour up sell pop up is both annoying and confusing. Almost uninstalled it.
It’s a trap of an app
This is why I gave it one star:
- when it scans the bar code it simply gets the number and puts the number into a google search, which returns completely random stuff …. Useless. I’ve had apps that will scan and find the product on Amazon or Google on the shopping tab so you can get prices. Come on Jack.
- the apps are a shameless minefield, very unprofessional.
- it traps you into a subscription. It says you can cancel anytime before the next bill cycle by going to “Accounts”. Surprise surprise, there is no accounts tab or section.
- it forces you to “Allow” tracking or you use the app.
This is by far the worst app I’ve ever used. I still don’t know if I am going to be charged or how to cancel. This is unethical.

Intrusive
Needed a simple app to scan an occasional barcoded serial number. This app wants to track me, insert ads to the point of making the app unusable or charge a subscription? No thanks, uninstalled.

Tried closing the app and even deleted and redownloaded it and nothing would scan still but it was always working enough to try and charge money for the premium features

Unused and unwanted fees were applied
I have been charged a one month fee of $7.99 when I uploaded a Apple Card. That money was supposed to go towards another purchase I was going to make. I was not aware renewal was even on my account or I would have taken care of it. I even deleted app shortly after downloading it on my iPhone. I have no way of getting the money taken from my account now. I think it is unfair to be charged when It is something 100% unwanted and will never be used by me. If read by developers, please make this good by refunding me my money ASAP to I can apply towards my intended purchase please.

Terrible
Last intro screen implies a paid subscription is required. Deceptive. Unusable on ipad. Camera image is turned on screen and almost impossible to position over a bar code.
Pasting the procedure to cancel an app subscription does nothing to correct this classic shady app move of converting a trial into a paid subscription that most people don’t realize until they see the first charge and then they cancel. Anyone who has tried to get that fee back from the app store knows it’s nearly impossible.
How about the usability issue on the iPad? Nothing to say about that because there is little interest in making usable software when you can collect one subscription fee from each person who forgets to cancel their trial.

I Deleted App
I wanted to use this app, but when I downloaded it I was guided through several “pages” of introduction. At almost the last one, it said the app would use tracking information about me. The button on that page was “allow”; there was no other option so I could not say “no, do not allow”. I could not proceed to the last page, nor access the app, if I did not click the “allow” button. So I will not be using this app.

Terrible app
I downloaded this app on my new iPad Pro and and as soon as I start it up it wants me to buy it! Seriously? Then it gives me the free version and then I try to scan the code and it is impossible to scan the barcode. Camera is zoomed too far in and then no matter where I put the bar code it is impossible to get it lined up with the brackets. I will be looking for another barcode scanner.

Awful, Not as Advertised
There isn’t actually a compare function. It scans the barcode and then you have to do your own searching each individual source to find prices. Also, the scanner isn’t even as good as using the camera. Worthless app
