About
Bars puts every limit you are living inside on one screen.
Claude's five-hour session and its weeklies. Codex's windows and Spark. Notion AI. Your proxy's monthly bandwidth. Each one gets a meter that reads left to right, so the one about to run out is obvious at a glance.
THE PACE MARK IS THE POINT
A percentage tells you where you are. It does not tell you whether that is fine. Every meter carries a small tick showing where you would be if you were spending evenly across the window. A bar 78% full with three days left reads instantly as trouble. The same bar with three hours left reads as a job well paced.
TOLD BEFORE IT BITES
Set a threshold and Bars tells you when you cross it, while the app is closed. Set a pace warning and it tells you when you start burning faster than the window allows, and again when you drop back under.
ON THE HOME SCREEN AND THE LOCK SCREEN
Widgets in every size. With Pro, a Live Activity that counts down to the reset while a session is running, drawn by the system so it stays true whether or not the app is open, and a Dynamic Island that says which window it is about.
YOUR CREDENTIALS NEVER LEAVE YOUR PHONE
Bars signs you in the way the official command-line tools do: a real sign-in page in Safari, never a password box we control. Tokens go into the iOS Keychain and nowhere else. There is no server and no account: nothing about your usage is collected by us or transmitted to us. Your recorded history syncs through your own private iCloud database when you are signed in to iCloud, so your other devices show the same figures — that database is yours, and a developer cannot read it.
ARRANGE IT YOUR WAY
With Pro, pin what matters, hide what does not, and rename anything. The order you set is the order the widgets and the watch use. On iOS 27, you can also hold a card and drag it, and the others move aside to make room.
FREE AND PRO
Free follows one account and its weekly limit. Every tab is a working screen — the dashboard, the per-tracker directories, your history as a calendar of days, and a CSV of every reading you can take with you. It is a real meter with a real pace mark, not a screenshot.
Pro adds every account you connect and every window on each of them, the Lock Screen Live Activity and the Dynamic Island, and a board you can pin, hide and rename. It is bought once, not rented — a single payment, no subscription, and shareable with your family.
Fourteen days of Pro are free, and they start when you tap Start your free journey on the welcome screen. No subscription, no card, and nothing to cancel when it ends. If you skip it, Settings offers it again at any time.
Bars is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Anthropic, OpenAI, Notion or BandwagonHost. All product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Bars reads the same usage endpoints those services' own tools read, using credentials you provide, and any sample figures shown before you connect an account are clearly labelled as demo data.
