App does not work
The app has white text on white background. Did this or delete it please
Bad choice
I bought this but all it does is take photos. There’s one quote and I can take its photo. Period. What a rip-off.
The app is unusable.
I cannot change the font color and it has the font set white on a white background.
Bad, bad and bad to use
App, know thyself! I entered a quote in the search area and nothing came up. Then I separately entered the name of the person who said the quote, and the quote popped up! Kind of useless.
Don’t buy this
This is the first time I’ve been so disappointed in an app that I tried to get a refund. It wouldn’t work, and I think Apple should remove this product altogether.
Awful. Needs to be removed from App Store
I foolishly hit ‘Purchase’ before checking the reviews and the version history. The app hasn’t been updated in 9 years, and is genuinely awful. I immediately started trying to figure out how to get a refund, but of course that’s either not possible or carefully hidden. Try going to ‘App Support’ if you want to go to an unresponsive site. I would definitely give this zero stars if I could. It should not still be available.

Save your money
This app does not work for me AT ALL. Many times, I see only a white screen. Many times, it throws me back out to my iPhone Home Screen for no apparent reason. I usually download only free apps. This is the first one I ever paid for. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!! Guess I’ll stick to free ones going forward. (I failed to notice the app hasn’t been revised in over seven years. THAT should have been a clue for me but, as I said, I missed that.)

For many years I have used my 16th edition. While I saw this app’s low rating before I made my purchase I went ahead and hit SUBMIT. Well, as low as the price was, I was still overcharged.

Good selection but you cant access or read a quote more than one sentence.
Doesn’t work
The headline says it all. It doesn’t work. Just displays blank pages. And the few times it worked, when I searched by a keyword, it returned only 2 or 3 quotes (I did make sure I was on the “all” tab and it still only showed 2 or 3 quotes).

This app is a colossal waste of money. Cant find any quotes that should be easy to locate immediately.
Useless
This app is useless. Each screen is white. Maybe it uses a white font, but I can’t actually read the quotations most of the time and there appears to be no way to change it.
total disappointment
i’m hoping this app is broken and can be fixed because it is the worst app I have ever paid for in my life. I’ve been using Bartletts quotations for decades, so disappointing this is the only way I can interact with your site now. You really need to rethink this, and you should refund every single person who’s ever paid for this app including me.

Great idea, non-performer to put it mildly. I’ve written very few reviews, I making an effort to save anyone else the disappointment.
Basically, it does not work, the search engine is worthless. If you have the book, keep it.

I should have checked the reviews before I bought it although four dollars was an OK investment for something that doesn’t work very well

Failed app
Difficult to understand…impossible to use. The creator of this app is bereft of common sense. I’m so disappointed. Wasted my money. IT DOES NOT WORK……..P E R I O D !
Does it have any quotations about what a fool is?
Because that is someone who buys this app, which does not function as defined and lacks any sort of depth in terms of searchable quotations.
How is this app still in the app store
App is faulty. Remains in a white out mode. Can’t read quote unless you ask it to share. Was a waste of $$&!
