About
You finished them. You sent them to the NAS. And you haven't looked at them since.
That is what a NAS is for. It is the safest place in the house, and the one nobody visits. The photographs you worked hardest on sit in folders named for years and trips, backed up twice and seen by no one.
Baryta is the way back to them, in your hands.
Open the drive you already have and your folders are there, exactly as you left them. A year. A trip. One afternoon. Open a photograph and it fills the screen, every pixel you finished, straight from the file. Nothing to install on the NAS, nothing to set up, no account to make. Just the pictures.
THE PICTURE, AND NOTHING ELSE
One tap brings the controls. One tap sends them away. Edge to edge, the photograph is alone.
WHERE YOU WERE
Ask, and the settings you shot it with appear in one line. Ask again for the camera and the lens. Once more, and a map shows where you were standing. The harbour at Ouchy, just past eight in the evening. The map remembers the place. You remember the rest.
CLOSER
Pinch, and you are in the pixels: the whole file at its full size, fetched from the NAS as you look, with a small card to show where you are. Double-tap to go straight to the spot you touched. Baryta never changes a file. It only looks.
THE DAY'S TAKE
A memory card in the port is a folder like any other. On the way home, the day's pictures are already there, at full size, before anything has been copied anywhere. Pull the card and it leaves. Put it back and it returns.
AROUND, AND BACK
Grid, photograph, slideshow. Each opens from the last, and every way back lands on the picture you left. A photograph flies out of its tile and back into it. Press play on any folder and the pictures go around. Come back tomorrow and Baryta opens where you were.
IT KNOWS THE WAY TO YOUR NAS
Baryta reads the drive you already have, switched on and shared the way it is. Synology, QNAP, TrueNAS, unRAID, Asustor, or a folder in Files.
YOURS, STILL
No account. No tracking. Nothing in the app that phones home. The privacy label reads Data Not Collected. One payment covers the Mac, the iPad and the iPhone, with the Apple TV on the same purchase.
WHAT IT LEAVES ALONE
Baryta browses. It does not catalog, import, edit, or play video. RAW files stay with your editor and out of the grid, so a folder of finished work shows finished work. Search, faces and albums live in other apps.
