Not always searching
I really like the app. One small gripe is that when I’m adding an item, it doesn’t always search through the basket items. It will take an item from the basket and put it on the list but it doesn’t show the item below the add an item field. e.g. eggs are in the basket. If I write eggs in the add field, nothing comes up. I have to write the whole word and hit return, then it moves eggs from the basket to the list. More of a problem with items with long names.

Beautiful simplicity
This is a really nice little app. It does one thing and it does it well. It’s a simple UI that is clear and easy to use which is important when you are surrounded by other shoppers and stressed out or in a hurry.
It is also handy that the items added to the basket are shown in the order they were added so that it is easy to check that I’ve not made a mistake.
I keep my list in the order that I go round the supermarket so it is nice that I can go through the list at the end of the shop and restore it for the next time. If I do this from the bottom of the basket items to the top then the list is ready for next time. It would be nice if there was a button in the options that would do this for me though.
It would also be nice to be able to specify a quantity but there is an easy solution: I write the amount eg “x3” followed by a couple of spaces, and then the item description so that I remember the quantity I need, but everything still lines up and looks neat.
The only other problem that I have is that I have to go to a different shops/supermarkets to get everything that I need. Therefore it would be nice to be able to assign a colour to an item, or to be able to have a number of different lists. Unfortunately this could take away from the beautiful simplicity of this app. Alternatively, if there were a way for running multiple copies of the app with different data… but unfortunately I don’t think that Apple will allow that kind of thing to happen.
Finally, although the adverts are minimal and unobtrusive, I would be more than happy to pay a small one-off amount to remove the adds (replaced with a title bar) and support the developer.

Great app!
Quick easy and simple to use. Has nothing I don’t need to complicate it’s use.
Great app
Love this app. So easy to use and when you click on a list item it moves it to your basket. Simple but great feature. Recommend this app to anyone. Tried several shopping list apps this is the best I have tried. Thanks.
Does what it says
This was exactly what I was looking for: a basic shopping list that you can mark things off as you find them. No extra features, no account needed, no social media integration, no data mining. Works just like a paper list.
