Basic Teleprompter does one thing well: it scrolls your script while you look at the camera, and records you while it does. No account. No subscription. Nothing uploaded. Your scripts and recordings stay on your iPhone. WRITE OR PASTE Type a script or paste one in from anywhere. Formatting from Pages, Google Docs and other editors is kept, so your paragraphs stay the way you wrote them. Leave the title blank and it names itself from your opening words. READ AT YOUR OWN PACE Set the scroll speed from 1 to 100, or type an exact number. Adjust text size, side margins and alignment. Drag the script with your finger at any time to jump ahead or back — it picks up from wherever you let go. RECORD WHILE YOU READ One button starts the countdown, the script and the recording together. Pause and resume mid-take to record one script in several goes, all in a single video. Finished recordings save to the app and to your photo library, named after the script. GET THE SHOT STRAIGHT A level guide shows how far the phone is off straight — sideways tilt and forward lean — and turns green when you are level. It disappears once recording starts, so it never lands in your video. USE A PROPER MICROPHONE Plug in a wired or USB microphone and it is used automatically. The prompter shows which microphone is active before you record, so a mic that failed to connect is obvious up front rather than on playback.
