Don’t make me sign up

Let me try out the app before going through a signup. Also no need for Childs name age and email. Change this and I will then try it

Annoying

My kid doesn’t have an email and you don’t need their name or birthday, weirdos. You could easily make it just a range selection for age. Anyways, I made a fake birthday and kept trying. Why so much info? Email everywhere and passwords??? Why? Someone going to hack their scores??? It refused my password attempts for 15 minutes. Tried many variations and lengths of 8 or more characters and they all matched, it allowed none through. You WAAAAYYY over engineered the app before anyone can even use it and over complicated it, or it’s bugged which is another fail to have issues before someone even uses it. Ease up on the registration process people, it’s not that serious of an app and you don’t NEED all that info to have a successful app.

I was not able to start

When I logged into the game it did not work

Really good just a few things

First the SS answer that people have been talking about i agree with them. I know I'm young and i play 12u baseball but I've heard a lot from coaches about this kind of stuff with the wrong answers and me and my friends have figured out a way to switch your answer before the answer session has been completed. For all this its a great way to improve your IQ. I personally love this game with it. Nothin really needs to be changed besides the things i said at the start with the changing your answer before the session has ended. My dad heard this game from my pitching coach, he told my dad start having me do this kind of stuff then it will help with my favorite position SS, Catcher, Pitcher if i had the choice of 1 position on the field i would use SS and i would user this app for my needing of the basics and see what play needs to be made per ball in play wether it is a cutoff from the CF LF i am a switch hitter so i would know not everything but a few things i need to succeed my career of Baseball. Ive been playing baseball for almost 11 years now and i have just left edmond from the Freedom Fest i pitched and played SS and once i was done with the tourney i went straight to BASIQS then it got shut down like a few days ago. The load screen is just Blue and Green with nothing on it.

Please BASIQS bring it back!

To much

This game makes you put in your email to many times and passcode why do you need all that information on a baseball iq game

Great

It was a great app to build iq in baseball

The game doesn’t know it’s stuff

I downloaded this for fun to see how good it actually was. As a long time baseball player I know my stuff. So when I see it say that there is a pop up to second, and it’s NOT in the outfield, that i should call them off. This is a TERRIBLE idea. The outfielders NEVER have priority over the infield on a pop up inside of their area. As soon as it passes into the outfield is when it becomes the outfields priority. I hope the game fixes this before kids start to get false knowledge from this app.

Blank screen

I waited for a few minutes, closed and reopened and still a blue to green background only. Not sure what else should be there.

Gets boring fast

DAHHH MY DADS TEACHING ME THIS THISSS ISSS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BORINGGGGGGGGG

duplicate answers

there will be two of the same answers, but only one is correct. otherwise it’s a great game for iq.

Wrong

There’s A LOT of situations you have incorrect.

Lots of good stuff

Certain situations are not correct. Runner on 1st and 2nd grounder hit to third basemen the shortstop will not cover second. Initially the SS will move to the right to back up the third baseman in case of a mishandle. 2nd baseman covers 2nd base. To go more in depth on backing up the center fielder will move to an angle to backup throw from third baseman to 2nd. Right fielder will move towards the right field line in case a throw gets away from third baseman to 1st base. Good stuff though. I do much of the same stuff with a white board and magnets to test our player knowledge then execute it on the field.

Nothing like it, but wrong answers

Interface is quite good. Not perfect. Some issues with button colors and making it look better/more intuitive. Needs an easy way to exit/save in the middle of a game/quiz to main nav. Ex: colors are overused and it’s difficult to discern what’s a button and what’s an answer sometimes.

As another user indicated, there’s STILL an error on a Gball to 3B. SS Covers 2? Nope. SS Covers third? NOPE. SS backs up third FIRST, then moves to cover third, if necessary. Fixing Little nuances to the game answers would boost my rating to a 5/5.

Last thing: I don’t see an option to turn off hitting sound. My phone is on silent, game should be on silent.

Overall, very good, usable, but not a knock it out of the park solution.

So far, so good- There’s room for improvement.

Having used this app for about fifteen minutes, I’ve made a few conclusions and critiques; hope this review provides some helpful insight.

This app looks to be a solid representation of baseball situations. After creating your profile, you are provided with two options: Game or Practice. After clicking a mode, you choose a position to play for the duration of the Game or Practice. Practice mode provides you with a situation, showing runners on base and outs. After clicking ‘Pitch’, the screen displays a hit to a position (accompanied by the type of hit, such as grounder, line drive, pop-up, etc.). Practice mode then gives you instructions on what your positions job is in the given play. Other helpful tips are also shown regarding the play. As for ‘Game’, it is nearly the same, however, you are quizzed on the situation. You must choose from multiple choices to test how well you know your baseball IQ.

Critique:
I came for a mode that would provide some insight as to what ALL the players would do. In Practice and Game, it simply tells you what your position does, and NOT the others. These situations are not tailored to your position, so as a center fielder for instance, there maybe only one or two plays in an entire practice rotation of roughly 9 plays that even involve a throw.

Essentially in this center fielder scenario, you are provided with lots of situation where you are simply given the answer: “Backup the play in the infield”. It still doesn’t show you what the infields should do.

Dev Recommendation:
I would recommend adding info once what EVERY position does in a given play. Tailor the plays to the position picked by the app-user so you aren’t stuck with a bunch of unecessary plays that are (nearly) irrelevant to a position. This would greatly improve my usage of this app and probably help me to quiz myself more efficiently.

Hopefully this helps!

Customer Support

App is very promising but unable to get customer support. Need verification code to register if players are 13 or younger. Sent several request with no response.

Great app

This great for players of all ages. Now when my son asks to play a game on my phone he goes to the Basiqs app. He is entertained and learning at the same time.

Helpful bust wrong answers

The game is useful, but the answers are not all correct. ex: situation Runner on 1st 1out and your SS, on groundball to 3rd - Answer: Cover 2nd?

No, move towards the ball incase 3rd boots it, 2nd basemen will cover 2nd for double play.

There were more like that

Smart idea

Really cool way to get tips on defensive plays/smartest ways to play. “Play a game mode” is almost like a multiple choice fashion. Better with a coach connection to get more personalized learning!

Boi

This dat boi

Awesome. Nothing like it. (I might be biased!)

Great way for coach to connect to her/his athletes "where" they are!
