Super and amazing!

I’ve got almost all the Fonexsis apps, and I can’t say enough about how amazing they are. Bass Modes Symmetry School is no exception-it’s not just a tool for education, it’s a source of pure inspiration. The way everything is organized is on another level, better than any books or videos I’ve tried. And just from the name “Modes Symmetry School,” you know they’re serious about a conceptual approach. If you know, you know. I can’t recommend this app (and all their others) enough!

Beautiful

This bass guitar app is simply soulful and beautiful! It has enriched my musical journey with its intuitive interface and comprehensive lessons. Thank you to the developers for creating such a wonderful tool!

Bass Modes

Just what I needed.

Hoping for a 64-bit upgrade very soon.

Some of the Fonexsis apps have been updated, but not yet all of them.

They are similar enough in purpose (and, I can only assume, implementation) that I hope they all get updated before iOS 11's release. Their premium prices would seem to warrant that much.

As someone who has bought them _all_ (minus the two now defunct "Lefty" versions), this is my hope.

Overpriced

Although the user interface is fine and there are more modes included than most people will ever use, don't expect this app to 'magically' teach you the modes. At $5 this would have been good value. At $20 it's way over priced. I admit that I mistakenly thought that something so expensive had to be great. Don't make the same mistake that I did. Google 'bass modes' or buy a book instead.

Response from developer

Thanks for your review! Your opinion is important. This app is actually designed as a much better alternative to books and videos which usually give less information to the user and are not that interactive, as the app is, where you can literally touch and examine every note and hear the result, plus much more. The book will not teach if not to read it. The app can give you way more than just a words, written in a book.

Very helpful and interesting apps bundle

I'm impressed by all the amount of the material and endless scales and chords variations. Its a nice way to listen and learn new stuff to improve our bass playing. I would recommend to anyone on any level..

Expected more from this expensive app

The graphics are great. The functionality is great. But why no open strings?

Response from developer

This app represent symmetrical system of 3 notes/fingers per string, which allows you to perform modes fast and easy. Open string notes lie outside of given symmetry school concept and are not covered here.

This is a great app, although the price is a complete rip off. I'm very upset by that.

This app is a complete rip off for the price do not waste your money like I did!

Love this app!!!!

Love it.

Master Your Bass & Modal Theory!

This is such a clever method for mastering modal playing on the bass. It shows you step by step how to choose a scale or mode and then play it up and down the neck of your bass. Modes have never seemed this easy, and there is a huge selection of different scales to play in a modal fashion.

You can choose the scale and the starting note, transpose the scale even, or just start on the root note and keep on going. There is a play button so you can hear each mode played in each position or you can press each note to hear the notes you want to hear. You even get to see which chords are the best for each mode.

This really is an easy and fun method for totally mastering the entire fretboard. It is effective for beginners and advanced players,
especially with the amount of scales that are covered. This makes modal playing seem simple and really covers all bases ;-))
