What's New in Batch Cooking

1.4.0

October 6, 2026

Cook once, eat for days. Pick your dishes and the app builds one cook session around your time and your kitchen: what to start first, and what to do while something simmers or bakes, so the hob and oven keep working while your hands are busy. New: freezer first. Two days of meals go in the fridge, the rest in the freezer, and a reminder the evening before tells you what to thaw. The new Fridge tab and "Eat this week" list show what to eat next. Also new: more than 500 recipes from over 20 cuisines, honest time estimates for your kitchen, timers for everything cooking at once, and quantities scaled properly for the batch. Also in this version: • What to Eat is now Batch Cooking, published by Creative Adventures Lab SASU. Same app, the change is administrative. • The Terms of Use and Privacy Policy have been updated to match. • Minor improvements and bug fixes

The dream meal planner & recipe book all in one!

This app is incredible, it has made the biggest impact to how I meal-plan and shop. It helps me to shop intentionally, reduce food waste, and best of all - try new delicious meals! It is very easy to navigate, and has added a lot of joy and delight to a previously stress-inducing part of my life. Everything I have ever wanted in a meal planner, and recipe book can be found in one app. It’s clear the developers have put a lot of thought and care into it. Try this app out if you would like to improve any aspect of your kitchen-life!

Saves me from the dinner debate every night

The absolute worst part of my day used to be staring into the fridge trying to figure out what to cook. This app completely fixed that. It does all the thinking for me based on what I actually have on hand, and it even finds clever ways to reuse leftovers the next day. Super easy to use and a massive time-saver.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for this lovely review ! I built "What to Eat" to take away that daily “what am I going to cook?” mental load, so it’s great to hear it is making dinner decisions easier. I’m especially glad the leftover ideas are useful too as wasting less food while saving time was a big part of the goal.
