About

Battle of the Bands is a turn-based band brawler featuring musicians from your local scene. Draft acts from real venues, put them on a stage, and fight the set out one move at a time. Recruit team members by scanning stickers, sold at participating venues and by the bands themselves. WHAT YOU DO - Draft bands from a roster of local acts, and carry each one's win/loss record from show to show - Fight turn-based sets: pick who acts, pick the target, time the tempo. Or hand the set to Auto and watch it rip - Discover new bands as you play. Beat a scene and the next one opens up - Add friends by code or QR and challenge them head to head - Queue up in Jam Session and get matched against a real player by skill REAL BANDS, REAL TRACKS This is not a game with a stock soundtrack. The bands are real, and the music playing under every fight is theirs. Win a battle and you are hearing a local act you can go see. Then learn more about them on their profile page and see them play live! Free to play.

What's New in Battle of the Bands

1.0.2

August 6, 2026

The battle got a new look, and the app got its voice back. Fights now play in portrait, so you can pick up a show without turning your phone sideways. Turn it anyway and the stage opens up wide. Health and BPM meters are drawn by hand now: crooked boxes filled in with marker, the way the rest of the game looks. The tutorial fights on the same stage as a real show, instead of its own screen of roster cards. Sound everywhere, not just mid-fight: button clicks, menu stings, and Maestro Magnus has a theme. Your bandmates show up as their actual photos on stage instead of emoji. New music from nopeople, including "Outside My Head", plus seven songs from Annie Babie on the green-room radio.
