A fantastic app

BBC iPlayer is great, if I miss a programme I can always catch up later. You can also watch other programmes from the archive. I have been using this app for years.

I think its amazing it runs so smoothly and has everything well done

Apple TV app needs updating

For some reason, BBC have decided to use a basic version of their app for Apple TV. This limits UHD streams to 720p, and disables HDR. Please fix this.

Auto play NOT WORKING

A pretty poor app in 2026

TERRIBLE

Of all the Streamer apps BBC iPlayer is the worst. I have very fast fibre internet so can blame the internet.

Review

Very good, but when you fast-forward you can’t see where your speeding up or down to you just have to guess

LOVE THE BBC

What would we do without the BBC…wonderful in every way! Keep up the great work and thank you!

Love it

Please try it out you’ll have no regrets

Too clunky

You need to sort out the fast forward/rewind so it’s more like Sky go/netflix. It’s impossible to know where to stop.

Very expensive

When compared to other streaming sites it’s not worth the money. But you kind of have to pay for it if you want to watch any tv channels, BBC or otherwise.

Frustrating make signing optional

This app could be so much better, in fact has got worse with recent updates. Difficult to find things, continue watching hidden away and can’t get rid of the awful signing on screen which really detracts from the viewing experience when watching on a small screen such as a in phone (reduces viewing area by about a third). Please make it possible to switch this off. BBC needs to do better if it wants to justify the licence fee. Quality of output is going way down, just have advertising like other channels and stop trying to justify tv tax

Design the App better

Why isn’t there a clear and obvious way of removing unwanted programmes from the ‘continue watching’ section? Obviously on iPlayer it’s in a totally different area of the App and it can take 24hrs to remove them!! 24 hours!! Is this some kind of joke? I mean it’s 2026 and ridiculous stuff like this still can’t be thought of in an ergonomic way which would make the App 20x better.

favourites list

what is the point of adding programs to your favourites list if the 1st episode pf the new series don’t appear in your “continue watching” section. In the last few weeks, I have missed the start of sewing bee, dragons den, Ludwig and vigal to name a few. it would be very easy to miss the next series all together unless someone mentions it social media!
please correct this bug it will get you more views!
