The only app

BBC sounds is so diverse , everything I want to listen to is hear . LOve it

I love BBC sounds

It’s fantastic being able to catch up and listen again. I just wish that if you are a licence payer you could listen abroad.

Must have app

I love to be able to choose what I can listen to at my time of choosing. To subscribe is easy so you don’t miss an episode. You also have an option to download if you happen to be off-line. Where else could you get such a variety of subjects - from serious subjects, topical, humorous & even abridged audio books? It’s perfect.

Radio 4

I just love the content, you all must work so hard thank you for all the brilliant programs and the abundance of information. Please keep going, best wishes Paul from Crayford

Perfection… in jeopardy

I always call BBC Sounds the embodiment of ‘Perfection’. But then how could it not be ? Nikki Bedi is there isn’t she… huh ? Well then, stop asking stupid questions. PLEASE don’t abandon Nikki from Radio 4’s schedules now that her time on Saturday Live has ended. It would be such a waste of an exceptional talent. Can you not find her another long-term vehicle to showcase her exquisite personality, honed skills and wealth/depth of knowledge ? The Arts Hour is always a fine listen and well worth catching. I hope against hope that this will go on with Nikki in perpetuity.

Also, I must express much love for the shows of Robert Elms, Jo Good, Gary Crowley, and Jim Davis. I so dearly hope each of these presenters will likewise see many more years of broadcasting at BBC radio.

Without those mentioned above on my radio, I regret my mental health will very honestly likely sink further, and so I do hope you’re listening to our pleas… Kind regards and respects, Robert Adams.

BBC sounds

Beautiful app. Rarely falters. Does everything you want. Essential listening

Life changing

My whole day revolves around Sounds. I listen to the news whenever I want to. I can find programmes I’ve missed and at night, if I can’t sleep, I love the World Service. It absolutely fits into my life and genuinely enhances it on all fronts.

Podcasts and Sport

Excellent subjects and information and superb commentaries

Love bbc sound

Makes my day manageable

No US Open coverage (tennis)

So I’ve switched on the tennis - nothing! Do you only broadcast the tennis if British players are participating? Very disappointed.

Variety

Dear BBB Sounds, The choice of programmes is extraordinary, there is always so much I want to listen to if only I had the time, there is so much more choice than TV and far more information. Avid listener Sandra Creek

Doesn’t work with Siri

Can’t use Siri to open the app (essential when driving). And the app is essential!! At all times.

An excellent app

Well, if the license fee is worth anything it’s worth this.

You don’t need actors with East End accents coming all got blimey about how the BBC don’t do nothing for them.

BBC Sounds is a remarkable asset to life that we are blessed to have

The engineers and software experts who built it and continue, no doubt, to improve. it are absolutely wonderful and to be blessed.
Thank you very much for the opportunity to provide your review. Yes, I’m a fan. Yes, I’m grateful. Tim

Awesome

Best thing since sliced bread - listen live, listen later, listen when you missed something, listen when you cannot sleep, listen while you work, listen at select times, listen and learn.

OLD SCHOOL RADIO LISTENER

I left a document on the international content on this app, but however they should bring up more stuff from the archive international surface so what people can listen to outside of the UK
Radio should not adjust the limited to the UK
What about for international audience? What want British living overseas? Experts.

Love the old drama recordings

Love the old dramas, especially the horror, crime and books.

Forced Obsolescence

I came to use my dedicated listening device (an older iPhone) only to be told that this app now requires iOS 17. Should I just throw away a perfectly functioning phone because some executive needs another pay rise?

Without Equal

I listen to BBC Sounds for several hours each day: from The World Service to dramas, documentaries and comedy, and at night, fall asleep to the Shipping Forecast and your Sleep Tracks. I really could not imagine life without it.
I’ve lived abroad but have never found anything to rival the astonishing quality of journalism and writing.
I am constantly sharing links with family and friends, and do wish it was a little easier to navigate for new-comers, but am grateful daily, to be able to access this treasure trove of material. May it always exist, and maintain the levels of integrity and quality which we so desperately need.

Loving it! Noiser productions are super along with lots of other content!

Have been having a blast walking through the past, from the Vikings and D-Day to walking in the shoes of those solving crime amongst others. And listening to those heavenly voices….. Mmmm. Just sublime and very much enjoying learning new things I didn’t know about times and situations I thought I did know well…. The Dictators series, War on Drugs, so many to listen to and enjoy! Thank you and don’t stop! Presenters such as Paul McGann, Ian Glenn, just wonderful to listen to…. Thank you!
