About
BCComms is a full intercom and IFB system for live production. It gives directors, camera ops, audio, engineering and on-air talent the same talk/listen workflow as a hardware key panel, on the iPhone or iPad already in their pocket.
TALK AND LISTEN, LIKE A KEY PANEL
• A dial layout that mirrors a broadcast beltpack: talk keys on top, listen keys below.
• Arm several channels and hold the centre to talk to all of them at once, or tap it for hands-free continuous talk.
• A grid layout with per-key push-to-talk, latching talk, listen toggles and volume.
• Group keys that talk to several channels in one press, and direct keys for point-to-point conversations.
IFB AND PROGRAM FEEDS
• Talent hear program audio on their IFB, dimmed automatically whenever the director talks to them.
• Program feeds are kept separate from partylines, and each listener sets their own level.
BUILT FOR THE CONTROL ROOM
• VOX (voice-activated talk) for hands-busy positions.
• A call signal to get someone's attention, plus text chat per channel and one-to-one.
• Live presence shows who is online, who is talking, and where.
• Works on the loudspeaker, wired headsets and Bluetooth, and keeps running with the screen locked.
YOUR SERVER, YOUR AUDIO
BCComms connects to a BCComms server that your organisation runs, on site or in the cloud. Audio, messages and accounts stay on that server. Administrators manage users, channels, key panels and channel recordings from the web console.
A BCComms server is required. Accounts are created by your server's administrator.

Apple Watch app Control BCComms from your wrist. Audio stays on your iPhone or headset. - Hold to talk on the channels armed on your iPhone. - Double-tap to latch talk on; tap once to release. - Arm and disarm talk channels from the watch, with the same colours as the dial. - See at a glance whether you can talk, and why not if something needs attention on the iPhone. - Safety first: if the watch loses touch with the iPhone mid-talk, or you lower your wrist, the mic turns off on its own. Requires watchOS 10 or later and the BCComms iPhone app.
