Be I/O makes sense of air quality in terms that apply to you. Rather than broad categories like "moderate" or "unhealthy," Be I/O estimates how much PM2.5 you'd actually take in, right now, doing what you're planning to do. Choose an activity — a 30-minute walk, or a 75-minute hard run — and see whether to Be Inside or Outside for it, and how much of your estimated daily intake it would account for. Be I/O works out your ventilation rate from optional health details: age and weight, or your resting and maximum heart rate, or — for the fitness nerds — the litres per minute you breathe in each heart rate zone, straight from a metabolic test. Connect to your own PurpleAir or AirGradient sensors over your local network for near-real-time readings, free and without an account. No sensor of your own? Subscribe to use the public monitor nearest you.
