Es wäre gut wenn man die Updates Beschreibungen auch in deutsch bekommt weil es viele gibt die vielleicht nicht so gut englisch können und es wäre gut wenn der suport von Be My Eyes auch in deutsch verfügbar ist vielen dank
Easy to use
I just got my first call today and process was very easy. Excellent app!! Only thing is that the app only allows to select 2 languages. I feel like there shouldn’t be a limit. In my case I speak fluently 3 languages and wish I coule put in the third one:/
FAKE
So far this app appears to be FAKE. I signed up and clicked confirmation link and it doesn’t even work. I gave away personal information for NOTHING.
Amazing
Great idea so far answered one call and attempted to answer a few more. Had a great conversation with a guy in the states about a hoodie he wanted to wear
Suggestion for improving
I have heard great things about this app and decided to try it. I haven’t gotten a call yet but think a great change would be adding availability for those who are volunteering. (So we can add our work schedules in order to not interfere with drive times and such) some of us have different availability every week so I think adding an option for updating your schedule weekly vs having a set schedule or syncing with our calendar would be great!

8 year volunteer
I first downloaded BeMyEyes in 2018 and became a volunteer. I love getting calls. I tell all my friends about them. Then they sign up to volunteer, too. It’s such a fun ripple effect, and a great way to assist someone. App has significantly improved (especially the critical “torch” feature) over the years. Thank you for building and maintaining this amazing app for visually impaired friends ❤️

maybe when you're in a facetime call, you can answer the be my eyes call and it will hang up your facetime call because i just missed another be my eyes call and i am super upset 😓
Volunteer
Receiving a call and being able to help someone with that call is the most amazing feeling ever. I think this app offers so many useful applications. The reward truly goes both ways.
DO NOT RELY ON THIS APP!
Do not rely on this app. I am low vision. This app continuously has an OCR bug when taking a photo of something to get the description it reads the first couple lines on repeat. Then it straight up refuses to read the rest of the description. I’ve had this problem numerous times and I’ve even reported it to the support people multiple times. After not acknowledging that this is a serious problem For people who rely on the service I have been ghosted with no resolution. It is incredibly irresponsible for this developer to market this app for people who are low vision and blind as an accessibility feature. This app provides inaccessibility as its core feature. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

카메라가 0.5배를 지원하면 좋겠어요.
처음으로 전화를 받아보고 애로사항을 남깁니다. 시각장애인분은 휴대폰 화면을 볼수없어서 카메라가 제대로 가르키고 있는지 알수가 없더라고요. 휴대폰에서 지원되는 경우 0.5배줌이나 와이드줌을 기본으로 하고 전화받는사람이 조절을 할수있으면 더 원활히 사용할 수 있을것 같습니다.

6 years and here to stay
I’ve been on this app 6 years and have been able to do a handful of calls which have been a great experience. It’s so wonderful being able to help people and honestly it’s so beautiful seeing how many volunteers are on this app !! It’s a beautiful thing! I just wish there was a log to show how many calls you’ve answered

Great opportunity
Who doesn’t love a way to be able to help people! I’m not always quick enough to answer the calls when they come through, but I have enjoyed every opportunity to be able to assist someone who is visually impaired.

Great App!!
As a sighted person, I am more than happy to offer my assistance to the vision loss/blind community. This app is a small way to help out, but has the ability to provide a big impact on those that use the service.
I’m not sure what the other side of the app looks like for someone with vision loss, however, if there was a way to provide feedback on sighted people or better yet review/rate them, I think it would help filter out those that may not take it as seriously as others. This way the blind community can get what they need in an efficient, polite manner and have a better overall experience from “verified” sighted users.
All in all, great app and I’m happy to be a part of the volunteer side.

Amazing app
Fantastic app that more people should know about! Use it as a seeing volunteer & although I only rarely get calls (due to so many other helpful people answering them) it always feels so worthwhile to be able to help someone even in a very small way. What a great use of internet and I hope many more people are able to use it and it continues to grow

Repeating voice feedback
This tool is highly useful, but the voice output relating 4+ times after taking a picture significantly reduces its utility. Is this a known issue? Both a family member and I are experiencing this exact problem.
