The app stopped autofocusing properly. This appears to be a software defect. When is going to be fixed?

This app does not read the strip… Unbelievable… Wasted three strips trying to get this thing right… A person can scan a QR code in a plane with severe turbulence yet this junk doesn’t work..

Strip reader for beachcomber
Hard to use, takes too long to get result- few times, it’s just stuck. 1 star is very generous.
Inaccurate and inconsistent readings
There are too many variables, such as lighting that cause readings from this app to be inaccurate. After dipping the strip from a water sample collected 18 inches below the surface of the spa and waiting 15 seconds and then scanning the strip three times in the next 30 seconds I get inconsistent readings off by as much as 60 PPM per scan. These inaccuracies can cause you to needlessly dump chemicals into your water, causing mass swings in your results. This is very frustrating for new hot tub owners who are trying to learn how to balance their water. Impossible to do with this app. The strips are not expired and we’re stored properly. Will not scan
Downloaded this app and it will not scan. Tried so many times without it working, that I ended up deleting it. Waste of time

The app opens then crashes immediately, sometimes I have to open it 5-10 times before it launches and works

I really need this app to work. How could they release an update this catastrophic? I’ve fully deleted and reinstalled, tried on a wiped device… its just broken.

The ap crashes. Or it opens and gives you a glimmer of hope …but then can actually read the strip (literally the only purpose of the ap is the read the strip). I’m not an ap developer but this one needs the attention of a professional. Currently it sucks (because it doesn’t work).
Perhaps if it worked as its supposed to it would be fine. The concept is great/would be so convenient. I need for this to work!

No longer working since last update
The app doesn’t work since the last update six days ago, it crashes immediately, it won’t even open. Trying to contact the developer just leads to a page where you get an error message saying “error, establishing a database connection”. I tried emailing Beachcomber about this but I didn’t get a response.
I have deleted and re-downloaded the app several times. Nothing works.

Cant read strips
This app was created for one purpose, and that is to read test strips. Unfortunately, that is the one thing this app cannot do is read a test strip. After half a dozen attempts, not a single strip was recognized or read this app is a complete waste of time andbeachcomber should be embarrassed.

Takes a little getting used to but once you read the strips consistently it’s pretty awesome.
When reading the strip, I find it helpful to start with phone perfectly level to the strip and start tilting until you get the reading.
History tracking is pretty cool.
You can nerd out on your hot tub chemicals with this app.
