About

Introduction Mass is one of the most fundamental physical quantities: it describes how much matter a body contains and shows itself as inertia and gravity. The greater the mass, the greater the inertia and the gravitational force. Bodies of equal mass have equal inertia and gravity, which is why a balance can measure mass. The pan balance is the most widely used tool for measuring mass in school physics and an excellent way to understand lever equilibrium. But a real balance has problems: equipment wears out, weights get lost, class practice time is limited. This app solves them and gives everyone a "physics lab you can carry with you". The App A pan balance simulator that faithfully reproduces the operating principle and the entire weighing procedure. With no real equipment, you practise combining weights and reading the vernier anywhere, anytime. Principle: an object of unknown mass on one pan, weights of known mass on the other; in equilibrium the two masses are equal. Mass of the object = sum of the weights + the rider's reading on the scale Watch while you fill in: the transparency slider in the upper-right corner makes the dialog semi-transparent, and you see the weights and the vernier below in real time. The "collapse with one tap" button folds it away so you can operate the instrument freely; tap again and you are back to filling in. Who It Is For Students working on their own, teachers demonstrating in class, and anyone interested in physics in their free time. Key Features 1. Three objects: cherry, ring, diamond Three weight ranges, from light to heavy. 2. Five weights: 1 g / 2 g / 5 g / 10 g / 20 g The logic of "largest first, then step closer". 3. High-precision vernier: 0.2 g minimum, 5 g total Reading the vernier and fine-tuning with the rider: "coarse adjustment with weights + fine adjustment with the rider". 4. Transparent window + collapse with one tap The slider makes the dialog transparent: weights and vernier stay visible. Collapse it to operate the instrument and reopen without losing data. 5. Magnifier When you drag an object or the rider, a magnifier appears in the upper-right corner showing it with its scale. 6. Standardized record table Experimenter, date, project, principle, data and conclusion: rigour that carries over to a real lab report. 7. History at hand Everything is saved: review, compare, spot and correct your errors. 8. Sharing and export Files, e-mail, social networks: homework, group work, collecting and grading. How to Use 1. Measure an object Object on the left, weights whose total does not exceed it on the right, then move the rider until the balance is level: Mass of the object = total mass of the weights + mass shown by the rider 2. Create a new record Tap "New" to open the dialog. 3. Enter data Fill in the table inside the dialog. 4. Transparency / collapse Drag the slider to see through it; tap "Collapse" to operate and again to reopen. 5. View history "History" menu; select a record to edit it. 6. Share the data "Share" menu; pick an item and tap "Share": the Excel file goes to your networks.
