Useful app
Helpful in low emergence field
Junk... Worthless...
Plus if i have to take the time to count every time anyhow whats the point of having this and even if it did work it would save me what... 3-5 minuets at most. Blah!!!
Hope some Wisc. Grad student didnt have this as a project. If so they should be picking up road kill off the side of the road.
Anyways theres my two cents worth. Hope it helps you out in growing soybeans the Wisconsin way.

We would be happy to help you or any other user to learn to use Bean Cam in a manner that will save time in the field. Please contact us as needed. Since the app is most useful for replant decisions in very low population fields, a field of 130K is not the ideal field to target with the app. Even so, the app will show that 90K plants should still lead to 99% max yield and no replanting is needed. Secondly, a single hand count to calibrate allows the next four samples to be done by the camera in far less time than hand counting all 5 locations in a field. Calibration works best on low population fields, as designed. For those that do not want to use the camera, there is a calculator for manual hand counts which also includes the extra information about replanting.
