Nonsense

The solutions don’t make sense, the control is difficult and sometimes you have to repeat the same action to get a different result. Not a fun game unless you enjoy headaches and frustration.

Freezing

Game keeps freezing.. it’s fun but once I unlock one of the safes the game is total frozen and I can’t progress. So sad

Agatha Christie with Humor

Loved the feel of this! Satisfying, hard puzzles—in the best way. Cool art. Great story and world building. I feel happy just remembering my time in these halls!

Wow! What fun!

I’ve been playing this now for a few weeks as I don’t want to use a hint, so I make some progress every day! What a delightful game! Challenging yet entertaining! I second what the other five star reviewers have written! I also have played all of their games and will joyfully continue. Shame on reviewers giving less than five stars because they couldn’t understand it or didn’t play it on the best system. Kudos to the writers and programmers!

So good. Needs Game Center

My kid is in the middle of Bodkin Hall and we’re loving it. It’s smart, and funny. Challenging but not too much for her (she’s 12). But my phone is dying so I’m finally upgrading. She’s going to lose all her progress, and we’ll have to start over again. Gaaahhh so disappointing.

Thanks for the nice review! So glad you're both enjoying it. We believe saved app settings can be preserved when transferring phones, but better check with the Apple store on that.

Adore Mystery Caper games

A complete joy. So much fun - story, characters and dialogue, puzzles - for hours. There is sparkling wit here with many engaging puzzles that, when solved, make one relish every bit of the process. These games are simply that good, so much so, that it is difficult to say which ones I have enjoyed more. They are all worth it. Kudos! And please continue to create as you do.

Brilliant

This is far and away the most engaging, funny, well-thought out game I have played for quite some time. I wouldn’t have made it through without hints, but now that I understand how the brilliant developer minds work, I can’t wait to try their previous games.

Terrible controls

Deleted the game after 30 minutes. The controls are terrible and the gameplay is confusing. The English translation is also so poor it was really hard to read. Wish I hadn’t spent the money.

Another great game from Sherban

+ Wonderful artwork, great character design, really well written
+ Has an official *text only* hint system, wonderful for nudges towards clues rather than having to sit thru a video.
+ Puzzles that make you feel like you’re actually solving them, not just memorizing info from one place and sticking it in another.

- Makes more sense if you’ve played the other games from mysterycapers. (But why wouldn’t you? They’re all fantastic)
- idiosyncratic navigation continues to confound me. (It’s far different from most 2d puzzle games)
- a few puzzles are *way* too mathematician for me

This has become one of my favorite games because of the developer’s unique and witty style. The characters from previous games reappear and build up the story, and are quite entertaining. I liked the ending and can’t wait for more from MysteryCaper!!

My favorite part is the hint system via the website. If you have a question, the developer usually responds that day or the next!

How long has this game been here?! How did I miss it!?? Soooo excited, very happy I referred back to a previous game and found a new one… it’s made my night, I adore this series so much, can’t believe I had to search for it, it should be plastered under New in the App Store…shame on you Apple 😂 il review more when further in I’m almost too excited to start…….
Edit: so I’m now further in and this game is just as incredible if not more so than the previous episodes, it’s like being in the film clue, with great humour, superb puzzles and storytelling and lots of places to explore, I got stuck at one point but refused to look for a walkthrough as I don’t want to miss anything and I’m so glad I abstained as I found the answer. Enjoy every minute, take your time and try not to reach for hints, it’s sooo worth it. I can’t express how grateful I am to the people behind this amazing series. I even learned recently there’s a double cover book!

Love these P&C games!

I’ve played all of these games, some of them multiple times. The Beast is another winner. Great puzzles, familiar characters and you really get the sense you’re at the ‘party’. I grab these as soon as they are out and always eagerly await the next one!

I’ve enjoyed playing every single mystery caper game. I love the puzzles, the unique point and click style, and how you engage with the characters. The stories always make sense and you can tell the developers pour their heart into these games. I can’t wait to see what else the team has in store!!!

My favorite point & click games

I LOVE all the MysteryCaper games. They are bright and cheery. The illustrations, dialogue, puzzles-all amazing. And the website with hints if you need them is genius. Being able to have a hint before seeing the answer as well as explanations for each clue is much better than watching a walkthrough video.
Please make more!!!!
