Massive downgrade
A significant step backwards from the old game. They already had it figured out, how do you screw it up this bad?
The gameplay feels sluggish, my phone overheats (iPhone 15 pro), there’s no dynamic screen, the menus are clunky. Just an overall mess.

Crashes on IOS 17.2 iPhone 13 Pro. Completely unusable.
Love it but…
It’s a great game and I’ve had zero problems…my only issue is, like some others have said, my phone getting hot quickly and the battery draining. Perhaps there’s just too much going on? Idk but hopefully there’s a fix…otherwise you should only play for short periods of time which is incredibly disappointing.

Should connect to other music platforms
I love the game honestly I just wish I could use YouTube music or Spotify to play stages also it would definitely increase the player base and even help some people discover new music or playlists just a suggestion thanks for all your work amazing game.
5 Stars If Fixed (For iPhone 14 Pro Max)?
Loved, LOVED the first version of the game, played it forever. Second version came out, and I saw it wasn’t updated for years, seem to recall it running hot for others. Saw it was updated and took the plunge, only to watch the authorization screen go on and on and never took me to the game. Tried again. Turned off the app. Turned off the phone. Still no dice. Runs hot AND can’t play the game. Sure hope they fix it soon. First one was so much fun…

What happened?
How was the first game so awesome, and this sequel feels like a giant leap back. The fact that developers haven’t seem to have done anything to improve the experience is incredibly disappointing. It feels so cramped and awkward. Maybe one day they’ll fix it.

Plays awesome with headphones and a gamepad! 🤟
While the touch controls are intuitive, Beat Hazard plays even better with a controller. Unless you’re using iPad (that can be propped up) where you can get away with using any supported controller, I highly recommend something like the Nimbus+ for iPhones as it has a stable mount included in the kit. Beat Hazard 2’s introduction of the Hangar & Workshop bringing new ships opens up new ways to play the game. Otherwise, this is still that hyperactive light show with more enemies and bosses to keep you fighting over high scores on your favourite tracks.
