RNG not so random
This game does not simulate real world play. The random number generator is not random. After playing about 100 hands, you will see patterns emerge. Like pocket aces will lose to a dealer’s dirty diaper 90% of the time. QJ will always lose if you 4 bet. Etc. etc. the game knows what you have and will drop a dealer match card on the river almost always.
Don’t call at the end unless you have the nuts. The game makes you watch ads to get chips and its goal is to take your chips so you watch more ads. Even the ads are infuriating, pregnant housewives making thousands of dollars a week playing online slots for real money. The LAST thing a pregnant housewife needs is to gamble her unborn baby’s future away before she even delivers it. Shameful. The interface is good but more side bets could be added. A Bad Beat bonus should be there, but if it was, you would always win because almost every hand is a bad beat.

Rigged to make you watch ads for chips.
Dealer wins most hands. Odds are terrible and it’s more than obviously rigged. Do not bother
Problematic
The game doesn’t seem to reflect actual real life chances, specifically the cards. I downloaded it and played <30min realizing that the dealer won on flushes even a royal flush once, 6 times! To add to the questionably odds, I also noticed that my hand including the first three cards, seemed to always have three consecutive cards, every time as one would then start chasing the straight. Nope. Even when handed the statistically best poker hands, you will lose to a flush.

Good time killer
The more $$ you bet , the less you win. $5 is pretty even win / lose. Anything higher, and its pretty much zero win. Ex. got a pair, deal has 3 of a kind, got 3 of a kind, dealer has a straight … EVERY TIME !!

As others have noted, they have an incentive for you to buy more chips. After getting you hooked, they clearly rig the game. In ultimate Texas hold em, the dealer has a slight advantage (52% or so) if you play right. At first I thought I was imagining things but I kept track and it became mathematically impossible. In fact, they seemed to make the math work against you. If you start playing it right— I.e. going 4X when you have a king and an ace or pocket kings— it works against you. When there’s nothing on the table, and you have a high card (say ace) they always have a pair. If you get a straight, they have a higher straight or a flush. If you do win, dealer doesn’t have a pair so you don’t get your bet back. Just too many coincidences.

Used to be able to get 500 free chips every 2 hours. Then the update added watching ads to get it.
Bought the ad free option and they still make you watch videos to get chips.

It’s unbelievable, you can’t win even with Quads , dealers wins with higher hand . Don’t spend your money. It’s 100% cheating

Great but could be better
I love ultimate hold em, and I typically don’t write reviews but this game has frustrated me very much.
I love the portrait style and quick game play ability. But I hate the ads that pop up and the inability to close them out even when given the option. I would happily pay to get rid of ads but unfortunately that isn’t an option.
I wish there was TRIPS bet but I can understand that the bet changes from place to place.
Another thing is the push feature. If I Get a pair but have the high care we push. But if I get a pair and the dealer has high card, I lose.
The game is great, but I feel like it misses those few things that could make it better.

Changed this to make it unusable
Since the last update, my view does not rotate on my iPad, so makes it impossible to play the way I use my IPad for everything else. Have stopped playing. Will hope for a revision that makes it usable again.

Hate New Version
I’ve played this for years and loved it. Now the 3.0 version came out and I want the old version back. I hate the portrait mode with no option for landscape and the odds listing is gone. You lost me with this version. I’ll be looking for something else.

The game is not portrait vs landscape and watching ads are required for free chips. Deleting now.

Used to play this everyday. Now with the latest update you have to watch adds to collect any daily coins. I’m deleting it.
Good app, needs landscape mode
This is a very well-made app and the game is fun. I just wish that I could play it on landscape mode on my iPad so I don't have to be holding it up.
Trash program
Trash application that literally allows the computer to win 80% of the time. Just had the computer get pocket pair 5 hands in a row. Don’t waste your money or time downloading
