Can we please have ann update!!!!!!

This I literally the best beat making app set up for iPhone but needs and update can’t connect to outside apps and use Bluetooth anymore

Good but old

Really good to learn but need updates

Badass and made for beatmakers

So this app is kinda oldish (in app years only), but its feature set as a modern DAW cum beatmaking setup is still unparalleled in plenty of ways. It runs with minimal lag, has a dedicated sampler module for pitched instrument and a dedicated drum sampler. It can incorporate AU instruments and take audio input from Audiobus. It does work flawlessly with Korg Gadet and Pure Synth Platinum as inputs to name a few. I know its UI is a little archaic but that is fine for real workhorses. Its reliability and quickness of IFX and sends is very impressive. Even today after all these years how many apps provide side chaining support natively? Either these days you use Bleass or RoughRider3 free compressor to get pumping inside AUM and all sorts of audio pipelining gymnastics from app to app. In BM2 you already have sidechaning in the compressor insert FX, so if you got drums in say channel 3 just select it as source or say you got a drum+bass stem you can use that too and the compressor is very reactive and gives exactly the feel without needing too much fiddling. This is god send, absolutely essential for beat making in general especially if you are going for that Dillaesque Neo Soul style with synth pads and rhodes on a phat sine wave bass and kicks rolling around. BM2 is rough on the edges but as you can see it can hit hard. In fact that lack of overpolish gives it that 90s hardware feel with lesser bit depth and rate for a grittier sound. Of course BM2 is using Apple audio hardware but you get the idea. I think in 2026 their samples store is inoperative so it just blanks out. Ableton link works within with other apps. The app is is fast and you can import large sample sets inside the content import menu for your personal sounds from VSTs and sample packs. I use Korg Gadget and Dawnbeat and a host of guitar apps and lots of hardware FX and guitar profilers etc but somehow I get back to using this app on phone or tablet. I got the MPCs and SP404 too so I know what works best for what platform. The drum sampler is pure MPC inspired. Use a midi controller for better control of velocities and you are set. Editing of midi is also quite intuitive. Honestly BM3 might be for iPad only but BM2 should also get a worthy update or two, some new FX etc, it is a truly great option for beatmaking on iPhones beyond Caustic, Gadget, Maschine, FLStudio, Cubase and XYZ other beatmaker wannabes. This app gets the workflow most importantly right in front. Other apps such as even the iMPC and iMPC Pro 2 etc kindof gamified the beatmaking culture and app design is too candified and all that detracts in the end. iMPC Pro also crashes quite a bit. I stay away from Retronyms, they aint Akai end of the day, but an app firm that took the license to use the MPC trademark. I will also say however that BM2 might not be for everyone, and in the end if UI and animation polish and theming and other bells and whistles (even AI lol) is too important for you and hardware too expensive, then please for other apps freely but in my experience those apps dont really deliver. Koala will be an exception because it is built around SP404 style realtime beatmaking and sampling and it is a stable app and can be midi mapped to your controller and with Arturia keyboards it comes alive. But BM2 it aint. I can compose string arrangements inside BM2, bet you cant do all of that in Koala in a fair contest. But to each his own.

BeatMaker 2 fan till the end 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I’ve been using BeatMaker 2 for almost 11 years. I have fl studio, reason and garage band in my arsenal, but my favorite is and will always be BeatMaker 2 mainly because of the ease and speed of creating. I don’t know if intua has any plans for BeatMaker but I hope your working on something new that also makes mobile beat making easy and convenient.

The OG

I’ve used all BM versions since day one, and even after all these years, decades actually (!!), I always come back to the OG of mobile beatmaking. Runs like a Kalashnikov, survives every OS update, still the most fun and intuitive way to chop samples.

Man.. this thing deserves a monument 🔥 Hope Intua keeps it alive.

As above-good, when it worked

Hala çok iyi

Audio Unit Extension da olsa tadından yenmez. Kullanım kolaylığı açısından hala en iyisi. Diğer uygulamaların hepsini inceledim. Demo hazırlamak için bence mükemmel bir program. Çok stabil ve uyumlu.

The best

I use this all the time. I know there’s a beat maker 3. But the BM2 is the ideal one for me to make music on.

The way you can easily sample and also create music, effortlessly. Makes it one of the best music making apps out there at anytime.

This is the first time I’ve done a review on this platform and for an app for that matter. I’m giving this app 5 stars because it’s very well deserved. Use at home, on the move or abroad. Great work machine to create your musical ideals 👏🏾👏🏽👏🏿
