Privacy Agreement…

(July 2022)
Well, the app now opens so a huge improvement there at least. However, for me the 28 page Privacy Agreement looks far too ominous to agree to so haven’t been able to run the app to test it out. (You’re also agreeing to a Subscription Service in there too. So be forewarned.)

Perhaps try the “PD Lifekit” Parkinson’s app. It’s a very reasonable priced one time purchase (no subscription), and a great Privacy Policy as well. (PD Lifekit’s Connected Neurosciences does not collect any Personal Data. All data entered by Users is kept on the user’s device.) That Privacy Policy certainly works better for me.

Great app for dexterity training

As an occupational therapist who works with the geriatric population, I really appreciated incorporating the exercises on this app for the dexterity training. I did not personally use the mobility or speech portions; however, based on research I’ve seen in the past on the benefit of metronome use for people who suffer from Parkinson’s and related diseases, I believe this would be a great way to improve mobility skills. I used this app in a clinic setting for many clients and they all enjoyed and felt the benefit from the dexterity training. Some of the elderly people did have a hard time with the pinch exercises due to lack of experience with technology and it did take some time for them figure out how to place their fingers on the screen and how much pressure to apply. Maybe using it on an iPad, with a bigger screen, rather than an iPhone, would have been better. Overall, this exercise program has great potential to help people who suffer from Parkinson’s disease. I continue to recommend it to any of my clients who do have an iPhone or iPad.
Would love if it was made for a clinic setting and could track multiple clients progress.

Be Aware!

Just seconds after filling in this form someone rang my contact number, which is a total invasion of my privacy! You have to enter your credit card details even to get a trail and the it auto collects after 14 days rather then opting in. This may be the best app in the world but business practices and collection methods are worrying and potentially difficult for anyone with PD ! BE aware !!
