Don’t download this. They removed the scanner option for “internal reasons” after granting camera access!!!!.. shady.. and a location request. Shady.
And the app is still advertised on the app page as having the scanner… shady! They know people download this exclusively for the scanner so it’s intentionally misleading or at the very least they are not being transparent about the product they have on the market and the fakes. Like they now have reason not to confirm a fake product. Seems suspicious.

It doesn’t do anything!
THIS APP IS A SCAM. The authenticity scanner has been discontinued so its worthless.
No longer supported
When you start the app and try to scan, you get a message saying that due to internal reasons they no longer offer the scanning capability. Instead they offer a link to their website’s list of authorized resellers. In other words this app is now useless and has no function except to link you to a site you can google. Don’t bother downloading, this should be removed from the App Store.

La aplicación en si lo único que hace es escanear un código de la caja del producto para verificar su autenticidad, y también te puede remitir hasta el Instagram o tik tok de la marca o a su tienda online, creo que si la tienda estuviera en la misma aplicación y se pudiera comprar desde esta mejoraría bastante, hasta el momento muy pobre de funciones

Good app, bad packaging
It works as long as you peel the sticker and put it on a place where there isn’t writing underneath it showing from the box. I had to peel it carefully and stick it on a clear part of the box. BoJ either needs to make the sticker fully opaque or place it elsewhere. The app as simple enough to use outside of that

Does the job
With so many fake cosmetic products going around, I’m glad they decided to make an app to verifying BOJ products. The BOJ sunscreen is my favorite sunscreen of all time & the app gives me peace of mind that the product I bought is legit (got mine from YesStyle). I do think the stickers they put on the products can be printed in higher quality so that it can scan better. However mine happened to scan in good lighting after a couple of tries.

Ya'll. There's a little slider that zooms in on the barcode. You have to zoom and focus. It's not the iphone camera being bad . It's ya'll being bad at paying attention. Anyways. Amazon sells the real thing. Worked for me!!!!
Worked at my local shop
I was able to verify that the BOJ spf I have been buying is authentic. I have a feeling seeing all of these reviews that if your spf is not scanning it might not be authentic. Just my 2cents 🙃
Does not work
Scanner doesn’t work. Barcode way too small and when I tried to zoom in it’s all blurry. Sent an email didn’t hear back from them. Trash app!!!
I love this app!
I recently purchased a BOJ product from a store and wanted to check if it was real or not. The scanning worked very well for me personally and it was very quick and did not take a long time. Definitely recommend if you purchase BOJ products from stores like Marshall’s, TJmaxx, etc.

Scanning error
Read the reviews saying it won't scan, thinking well it's probably fake then. But what's actually happening is these iphone cameras are trash and can't seem to focus on the tiny label. The label is also transparent and placed over the text on the back of the box so I'm not even sure it's going to scan correctly at all.

Scanner doesn’t work
I tried scanning multiple times, and the scanner won’t work.
Needs Attention
The app overall is very minimalist & simple to use, but the star feature of authenticating products is useless. As numerous attempts one can do, & even in direct light, the bar code can not be read. (products were bought off of official Amazon store front)
