School mornings have enough moving parts. Beaverton Backpack brings Hiteon school information and your family’s plans into one calm place. A quick look at Today shows the school-day outlook, your saved class routines, upcoming dates, and useful weather reminders. At 6 PM Pacific, it switches to tomorrow so you can get the backpacks ready tonight. • Browse published SchoolCafé breakfast and lunch menus, including sides and drinks. • Read dated headlines from Beaverton School District and open the original articles. • See school calendar events alongside your own family dates. Add, edit, and remove dates saved in Backpack. • Choose a flyer photo or screenshot, review the detected titles, dates, and times, then save them in Backpack. You can also add copies to Apple Calendar with write-only permission. • Create student profiles, choose a teacher, and set PE, library, music, and art days. Edit a profile while keeping its photo and routines. • Keep supply checklists handy throughout the school year. • Make a pickup plan and share it through your iPhone’s share sheet. • Turn on optional evening and weekly reminders, and add the tomorrow widget to your Home Screen. School Sites brings together links to ParentSquare, ParentVUE, Seesaw, SchoolCafé, Here Comes the Bus, InTouch Payments, and Hiteon PTC. Sign in directly on each provider’s own page. Your phone keeps the session for as long as that provider allows, with controls to go back, reload, or open the page in Safari. No Backpack login is needed for public school information or local family tools. Family profiles, photos, routines, pickup plans, checklists, and saved dates are stored on your phone. Flyer photos are read on-device. Sharing a pickup plan or exporting a calendar date happens only when you choose it. Optional email digests provide a forwarding address for school emails you choose to forward. That feature uses a server to process the messages and store the sender, subject, and received time, but not the message body. You can turn it off and delete its stored information separately in Settings. “Erase family data” removes local family records and stops their reminders. School-site sessions, email-forwarding controls, and copies already added to Apple Calendar are managed separately. Made by a Hiteon parent who had too many school apps and too much to remember.
