This app is AWESOME!

Bed Time is easy to use and doesn’t kill my battery. Large numbers are easy to read and color options at great!

Bedside clock that should have been a default app!

This is the sort of thing Apple tends to ignore in their pig headed stupidity and insistence that they know better what the users want. iPhone owners have been asking for a landscape clock display since the first iPhone. Apple has ignored them. Android users have a clock comprised of stupid; it literally fires an alarm two hours before the alarm to tell you that an alarm is set. (I can’t make this up.) and STILL doesn’t offer a landscape clock even in always on display!

Finally a developer listened. Thank you. I have paid to support this. (And also it’s a ONE TIME PURCHASE, not a friggin’ subscription like I’m renting an app!)

See the time any time

I often speak for groups and need a nearby display to track my time. Not the intended use of this app but it fits the bill for me. Love being able to select different colors and brighten or dim the screen with my fingertip.

Finally an iPad clock without ads, nags, or banners

Seems like every clock app wants a subscription these days (you’re kidding me right?!) or spams you with ads, banners, etc. This app is simple and elegant. No nags or anything. Easily worth supporting the dev with $1.99 for coffee.

Disappointed and disputing the discontinuing of the display of the date

Disastrous move has me distressed. And why? Were people complaining? Did the lawyers representing Today’s Date threatening to sue?

Hello! I'm really sorry that the date was removed - there were technical issues caused by the latest version of iOS at the time which meant it didn't work correctly. The app has now been re-written using the latest Apple technologies and you'll be pleased to know the date has returned - simply pinch to zoom and this will reveal/hide the date. Kind regards, John

The app is good but it shuts off during the night? I am on a iPHONE Xr. Please explain how to adjust this.

Great large clock

The only thing I would like to change is make the day,date and month LARGER, to improve seeing it from a longer distance.

Handy AP but not enough contrast

Really handy to have this large clock view. I especially like to use this when I am giving a speech or moderating a panel. I wish one of the options was white on black (or vice versa) or even bright yellow in black. It would be easier to see

Hello! Thanks for the kind review. The background colour is always black, but you can swipe left and right across the screen to change the colour of the time. White and yellow are two of the available colour options. You can also swipe up and down to change the brightness - keep swiping up and it will make it as bright as possible. Kind regards, John

Love it

Love the app. Combined with wireless charger, it is my new bedside alarm clock. Only thing I would like to add is a notification on the screen that the alarm is activated. A simple dot would do. That way a nervous fella like me would know at a glance whether or not I set my alarm.

No BS. Just big numbers

2nd Update: still my favorite clock app. I didn't realize there had been an automatic update which added the date to the screen. I panicked! My big beautiful numbers real estate had shrunk to add info I don’t care about. Then I read the update notes and saw you can change this by pinching the screen. Now I have my giant numbers back that I can read with fuzzy eyes and no glasses in the middle of the night. Glad the developer is still maintains this great app

Update: after using this app a few days I wanted to make one observation and one improvement suggestion.

The clock seems to be a minute or so slower than the system clock. I noticed this when my wife’s alarm went off at 5 AM the other day and when I looked at my clock it was 4:58. It seems to lag just slightly. OCD sufferers be aware! If this were a 1-10 rating scale I’d knock it down to a 9, but since it isn’t, I’m leaving my 5-Star rating.

One improvement would be to be able to lock the phone with the clock face displayed. I frequently leave my phone at my desk. I’m not afraid of anyone swiping it, but I don’t want to leave it unlocked. This makes a great office clock sitting beneath my monitor.

I just wanted a large, easy to read clock for my iPhone. Something I can see without my glasses at night. This is it. Simple, big easy to read numbers. Minimal adjustments. The display works in portrait and landscape. You set the brightness by swiping up for brighter, down for dimmer. Change colors by swiping left or right. Whenever you open the app it remembers the last setting. That’s it. $0.99. No ads.

Sure, it would be nice to pick different fonts, maybe an infinite color palette. But really, that’s not what this app is about. If you need an alarm, the alarm on your native iPhone app is as powerful as any. Other apps had all sorts of stuff like sleep sounds, music alarms, gongs, weather feeds, RSS feeds. But the numbers did not fill the screen. This one hits the spot

In response to your feedback, I’ve just released a small update which will ensure the displayed time is accurate to the nearest second when your device is connected to power. The slight lag you mentioned (now set at 30 seconds) is by design to preserve battery. Thanks again, John

This is everything I ever wanted!!!!!!! I would put more exclamation marks but I’m trying to be mindful of you readers. I searched online stores for a simple, sleek digital clock with the date to keep me on time. After giving up my online search I found this app! It’s PERFECT! You see the clock and still get the notifications you set up your phone to display. I LOVE IT!!!!
