Excellent Clock Radio Replacement

This app works perfectly. I like to wake up to the radio and when my old clock radio died I had a lot of trouble finding a replacement. There are no adds in this app, it is simple to use, does the job perfectly.

Tried other apps, this one IS a real alarm clock radio

Fall asleep or wake up with the radio, your music or an alarm, light dimmer, gradual loudness. Just perfect.

Needs instructions

This app promises to do a lot. It might be very useful however I have been unable to find any instructions on how to set it up. There seems to be a lot of moving parts to it that interfere with each other. If you don’t know what you’re doing.

Your input helps me continue improving the experience for everyone. Bedside Radio shows a Welcome screen and tip on first launch to guide you through adding your first station. Brilliant!

I have always used a clock radio, but these are becoming harder to find. I wondered if there was an app that would replace these devices. This is it. One can choose to awaken from any one of thousands of radio stations from around the world or from Apple Music playlists that have been downloaded. The interface is elegant and setup is easy. Instructions are clear and support is excellent. It is a bargain at this price.

Can’t wake phone

I wish it had been made clear in advance that the app cannot wake the phone. This means that you have to be sure the phone stays on when you set it down to go to sleep, otherwise you won’t get the radio wake up.
This may be a limitation imposed by Apple’s software, but it effectively means that the app is not really useful, at least not to me.

Thank you for your feedback. Bedside Radio is designed to display the dimmed time and keep the phone awake while you sleep—just like a real clock radio. This ensures the radio can play at alarm time. iOS does not allow third-party apps to start playing streaming audio while the phone is locked. This is a system-level limitation imposed by Apple, and it affects all apps of this type. I understand this may not suit everyone. I have made this clearer in the app description and onboarding. I really appreciate you giving the app a try. If you haven’t already, please consider leaving the clock displayed while you sleep so the radio alarm works as intended.

I’ve WANTED THIS FOR YEARS.

Having looked for years and downloaded several, this is the first capable of replacing a radio alarm clock with the cheap speaker and ridiculously glitchy multiple button punches to reset the alarm ten minutes earlier to beat the morning heat as sunrises sooner, or for a flight, or reset the clock for daylight savings or power outages. This app actually works and is worth paying the price. Synchs perfectly with a small SONY speaker, too.

Kind of works?

Goes off with a basic alarm sound instead of the radio, even if I have it set to radio. It’ll play radio if I click it and open the notification after

Hello, and thanks for your feedback. Please leave the clock display visible while you sleep (like a real clock radio), which prevents the phone from locking. If the phone locks or another app is open, iOS apps cannot start audio playback. In that case, Bedside Radio uses a fallback: it sends a time-sensitive notification and plays a 30-second sound. That's only a fallback, not the intended experience. I’ve updated the website and App Store description to make this clearer. I really appreciate you giving the app a try. Brilliant clock radio

Love this app. Just like the old bedside clock radios mum and dad used to have - but better! Love waking up to I HeartCountry and starting the day on the right foot!!
