User reviews

Love it

I read all my news with this app, mostly by using the share extension to save articles to my read-later list. Love all the text formatting options, especially the BeeLine colors that help me read faster.

Waste of money

I paid $5 for the app thinking I could at least read PDF’s…no, when you click to read a PDF you are asked to pay another $10! I reluctantly paid the $10 and still, it will not work! I’m very frustrated , as I was excited to be able to read more easily.

Misleading!

It's really not acceptable for you to state in the description that you can read kindle books but only tell people that this feature is no longer available once they've paid for the app. I want a refund!

Dont fall for this

They charge you for the app, then 10$ to use the app, then that doesnt cover the web extensions which is 3$ a month. This is a cash grab someone is masquerading as enabling to people with disabilities. Disgusting.

Response from developer

The $10 IAP you mention is for use of the PDF functionality. It is not required to use the popular reading list feature. Also, the extension for iOS is completely free, not $3. The reason we have IAPs is so that people can use the portions of the app that they want without having to pay for all of the possible features. We are doing our best to keep our features as affordable as possible, and even free in some cases. We also offer a free Student Pass for our Chrome extension, to help students cope with remote learning during COVID.

App failed to work

Wish I would have listened to the other reviews. I purchased the app yesterday and it hasn’t been working, unless I choose to review the material online. I also tried sending them a message about the issue by filling out the “contact us” sheet on their website - that doesn’t work either.

FAQ

What is BeeLine Reader?

BeeLine Reader is a digital reading technology that uses eye-guiding color gradients instead of plain black text. These gradients flow from the end of one line to the beginning of the next, helping your eyes automatically find the correct line, thus improving reading speed and ease.

How does BeeLine Reader improve reading?

By using color gradients, the app guides your eyes across the text, reducing the effort needed to track lines. This method is recognized by vision, literacy, and medical experts as beneficial for readers of all ages and skill levels, particularly those with dyslexia, ADD, or vision impairments.

What are the in-app purchase options?

In-app purchases allow you to add premium news sites to your reading list for a more extensive reading experience. Additionally, on iPad, you can read Kindle books with BeeLine's reading technology.

Can I use BeeLine Reader with articles from other apps?

Yes, you can read with BeeLine in Safari using its Action Extension. You can also save articles for later using the BeeLine Share Extension, making it convenient to access content you find online.

Is this app compatible with EPUB files?

This specific app does not directly support EPUB files. For reading DRM-free EPUB files with BeeLine technology, you would need to use the separate 'ReadMe!' app.
