Beep Mobile ID (for xPLAN)

PLAN Mobile ID is a secure mobile access application developed in partnership with Beep for use with xPLAN access control systems. The app allows authorised users to use their mobile phone as a digital ID to unlock supported doors and facilities at PLAN-enabled sites. Mobile credentials are issued ‘over the air’ by the user’s organisation via the xPLAN software and are securely managed using industry-standard mobile identity technology. This application is a dedicated PLAN-branded version of the Beep mobile access platform. The Beep App provides the underlying mobile ID capability, while the xPLAN system software and door controllers manages access control, permissions, and system integration. Together, this delivers a simple and secure mobile access experience for end users. Access to the app requires an activation link or invitation issued by the user’s organisation. The app will only function at sites that are enabled for mobile access and where a valid mobile credential has been issued. In addition to the PLAN-branded app, organisations using Beep and xPLAN may also deploy their own fully branded mobile access app, published under their own name in a dedicated app store. This allows users to download an app that reflects their organisation’s branding while using the same secure mobile ID and access control technology. PLAN Mobile ID is intended for use by organisations, campuses, and commercial sites that wish to offer mobile credentials as part of their access control system. It is not a standalone consumer app and cannot be used in any meaningful way without an invitation.
