Good app but...
There are a fair few bugs. I wish I could add multiple accounts from the same app, Like 2 Instagram accounts. I also would like a possible return of imessage integration.

Perfect solution to quit scrolling
I find myself reliant on Instagram messages to stay in touch with people, and I've been looking for a long time to find an app that lets me message people without getting sucked into Instagram reels. This has been infinitely helpful.
Amazing app
Honestly an amazing app. Helps you stay off instagram reels. Though there are times when app is laggy and the connection between insta is broken. And with the new apple update for icon customization, beeper remains an eyesore as it’s colours doesnt conform well due it’s use of gradients. The design can be more minimal like its desktop counterpart. It’s original icon looked very slick.

No more REELS
Ideal to avoid using Instagram REELS! I had the bad habit of scrolling when opening the app when I simply wanted to reply to messages. By using Beeper it saves me from wasting my time and I can continue to write to people on IG.

Need desktop app to use phone app
Are there any plans to release a version which you don’t need a desktop computer to set up? I can’t download the app on my desktop (work) computer, so can’t use the phone app :(
Social Media Detox
Because of it’s all-in-one functionality, I use it in place of my social apps, to prevent doom scrolling.
Only thing that’s stopping me from reaping the full benefits of this is that Beeper no longer supports loading the entire video that I’m sent from apps such as Instagram. I spoke with Beeper representative & they informed me they are working to have this function up & working again, but for now four stars.

Used to be great
Beeper has slowly fallen further and further since their Wordpress acquisition. The iOS app hasn’t been updated in months while constantly crashing when trying to load photos and some functionality I relied on getting unceremoniously removed while being gaslighted by the customer support into telling me the app never supported those things. I literally used to be able to use Facebook messenger without a fully active account before Wordpress. Now they’re like “the app never allowed Facebook messages without an active Facebook account”
It sure did. It was literally one of the top reasons I used this app. Now it crashes like 75% of the time opening a discord chat when trying to load it. Closer to 100% if it has an image it needs to load.
I’m giving it two stars because best feedback I got is at least the notifications work well enough to inform me to go open the respective chat app. It’s basically all I use beeper for now, a single stop for chat notifications, not the actual chats themselves. Cause either I literally no longer can use it for them or it crashes the majority of time I attempt to load them.

Amazing but..
Would be an amazing app if Instagram wouldnt block your account once you connect this app with your account. I was so happy to find an app that would finally help me stop scrolling for hours on Instagram 😭
Instagram threatens suspension
The app worked amazing at first, but Instagram blocked it and threatened my account with a suspension if I continued using it. Would love to use this app but can’t in its current state

Beeper shows a lot of promise but still requires some significant optimization on iOS.
Keyboard hangs while I’m writing a message.
Sometime the app doesn’t allow me to click anywhere.

Seems useless without messeges
I tried the app with facebook messenger and it does not work. It shows a couple of older messages but does not now anything newer than 2 months unless sent after the installation. Also facebook marketplace messages do not show up at all.
Meta will send you a warning
This app is excellent if it worked. I’ve been looking for a way to reduce my screen time on Instagram without losing access to dms of my friends. I used this to catch all my dms from Instagram and it worked…. for only one day. After that, I was logged out of my Instagram account and Instagram issued me a warning of suspicious activity and remove any third party tools or get banned. I’m sure this isn’t completely Beeper developers fault. It’s probably Meta’s fault as they likely want ppl to access their servers and keep people addicted which would give them the profit. So sure I give Beeper a 2 stars, cuz it does what it’s supposed to do. However, if people can’t connect their Meta accounts and actually use the app as intended, it defeats the purpose of Beeper.

voice messages
I love this app, I'm trying to cut down on my screen time and it's been great for eliminating scrolling from my communication! Lately it's not showing me voice messages from Instagram though, they show up as "unrecognized blob attachment type"? Might be because of an Insta update - they were working before last week-ish. Thank you for the app!

Useless
There is no way to use this application without the need of a MacBook or Desktop. The ability to sign in our out of social accounts is not available on this application. You can't even sign in to this app without verification of another. What's the point of this application?

Great app, everything I needed except a dark mode icon and maybe some shortcuts actions so we can automate some tasks. Please!
