Before the Paper Curtain is a lightweight interactive stage story set on the day of a community paper puppet festival. The original stage manager is absent, and you step in as Su Mo to help performers complete the opening before the 3:00 PM curtain. Guide paper puppets, live rhythm, masks, stage marks, and final cues through a focused 12-18 minute experience. Your four decisions shape how the rehearsal comes together, unlock cue ribbons, and lead to one of two complete endings: a shared finale in one field of light, or two full acts that answer each other with care. The game is designed for calm, story-first play. There are no failure states, no account requirements, and no online pressure, just practical staging choices and a warm performance built from your decisions.
