Upload a selfie, tell us what you want — softer around the jaw, cleaner around the neck, braver without going too far — and a minute later you get three realistic haircut options on your own face. Not a filter pack. Not a random makeover. A decision tool. WHY BEFORECUT EXISTS Most of us have walked into a salon with a Pinterest screenshot, walked out with something else, and spent three months growing it back. That picture was never going to look like us. Our face shape is different. Our hair texture is different. The lighting is different. BeforeCut closes that gap. THREE REAL OPTIONS Every session produces three previews, not one: • SAFE — close to what you have now, refreshed • BEST — the cut our model thinks actually suits you • BOLD — one step braver than feels comfortable You see all three on your own face, side by side, with a short note explaining why each one was chosen and where the risk sits. MEASURED, NOT GUESSED Before we show anything we measure face width, face length, jaw angle, and hairline. Recommendations are shaped by those proportions plus your stated goals and length-change tolerance, not a random mood board. The result is a haircut opinion with a reason attached. SHARE BEFORE YOU COMMIT Pick a favourite, send a vote link to your group chat. Friends see the three options on your face and vote — no account required for anyone. You bring the consensus to the salon. THE STYLIST CARD Unlock a printable Stylist Card for your chosen look: front, side, and back reference renders, the exact stylist instruction ("collarbone blunt with interior movement, no harsh bangs"), and a talk track so you can articulate it with confidence. Hand it to the stylist and skip the guess-and-hope. ABOUT YOUR PRIVACY • No account. No sign-up. We identify you only by a random ID on your device. • Your selfie is sent through BeforeCut's self-operated gateway to OpenAI to generate previews and recommendation text. BeforeCut deletes it from our storage 7 days after upload. OpenAI may retain API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring under its API data policy. • Generated images auto-delete after 30 days. • You can wipe every trace of your use from the app any time (Settings → Delete account & data). • No ads.
