After paying for no ads, putting up with having to restore purchases when the game timed out without any notification it had done a 'mystery' update that forced a restore purchase ... they went and removed the paid for option to continue playing to up the score.

No longer lets me continue
Up until this month, when I died on the butterfly style, it asked me if I want to continue. It no longer asks, game is over. And yes, I am connected to wifi. Game is removed!
Latest update ruined game
Latest update now results in the game continually reverting to a new player starting from scratch after a few games. Unplayable now.
Pop Cap changed the algorithm.
I’ve played a version of this game for 15+ years on every device. I only play Lightning mode as the other modes are boring to me. PopCap has changed the ‘Blazing Speed’ to a timed bonus instead of true fast-matching bonus. It’s completely negated any speed play, the entire point of Lightning. Why do you mess with this? I can score nearly 3 million in Lightning but I see videos of people playing MUCH slower than I do and scoring magnitudes higher. It’s not fun anymore. Please rework the algorithm to more normal old-school play.

The 30 second bonus time, if you’re online, is no longer there. The “Blazing speed” in Lightning mode is STILL a timed garbage bonus instead of real speed. The game is still fun but they don’t generate revenue from me so the developers don’t care what I think.

More problems
A recent update has stopped my game from being able to ‘continue’. Always problems after updates! How do I get this back? Have looked everywhere!
Bug keeps playing ads
Used to force you to watch one ad per game. Current version has a bug that keeps forcing ads repetitively.
Update issue
I no longer have the option to continue play or quit whats with that? I payed for the HD version years ago. This is not the first time it has happened. Should not have to contact support every time an update is done
They messed it up again
I purchased this game years ago. All of a sudden it grayed out the shuffle option and when there are no more moves it just ends the game. Up to a week ago I was able to shuffle the tiles and continue the game. Really stinks! Turns out they made this feature something you have to pay for. Don’t waste your money!

Not doing what it used to
Game used to give you the option to continue after failing to match required combination once.. and you carry on,, this has now stopped making the game very restrictive and boring..
Broken!
As others have stated, the latest update broke and removed the option to continue Gameplay by watching ADS! There’s no longer an option to Freeze or Shuffle the butterflies as the button is grayed out. I’ve been playing this game for years and paid to have the ADS removed but it’s no longer fun without having the option to Freeze or Shuffle the butterflies. I hope this is a bug and not a permanent update!

AUG 4 2026 update
WHAT happened to the option to play for 30 seconds longer that I paid for? That feature is no longer available. How do I get it back? Before when you made changes I had the option to restore purchases .. G.O.N.E. gone now.
Latest update took away continue option
I have a paid version of this app. I have the no ads and Poker but now the continuation option is gone. I play a game and when it hits game over, never gives a continue option.

Congratulations
I have been playing the game for DECADES. Update after update. One update removed the 258 shuffles I had. I kept playing. This update broke the game! Shuffle is gone! Oh, the button is still there but it is permanently gray. Previously, when I had no more moves, the game would prompt me to continue by watching an advertisement and shuffling the gems. It no longer does that. Wanna fix it?

Lost the shuffles and pokers wild cards; lost freezing butterflies
After using 2 special cubes together in lightning game towards the end; one is also equals a question mark in poker. You didn’t use all the 20. Hate how the screen shrinks when opening the app sometimes.
App constantly forgets that I bought it
About every week or so the app will forget that I have purchased the game and force me to start watching ads again. Once I can get to the settings menu and click on restore purchases; the game has wiped out my high scores and forces me to go through the tutorial like it’s my first time playing the game. More than annoying to me. But not quite so much that I’ve given up playing it as I find it is a pleasant way for me to unwind after work. Gamer be forewarned.

Don’t Bother
This used to be a decent, relaxing game. Now every time I try to play, I have to kill the app 6 or 7 times to get rid of the STUPID suggested games that keep hijacking the app. Stop!!! I’m not going to play some lame-assed game because you highjack the one I wanted to play. Actually, what I’m going to do is delete this game. Try again, developers!

Suddenly, horrible animated adverts!
And old, old favorite suddenly unplayable for me.
Ad nightmare!
The old version was pretty decent. This is now a nightmare trap of ads. Awful! I didn’t even upgrade from the old version when suddenly everything changed to this terrible thing.
