Promising
However, the one caveat is there's no iCloud sync. My feelings are that it needs to be standard in every new app these days or they feel handicapped from the get go. Even between just between two iPhones for starters. We want to have access our content from any device.
If that was addressed, as well as a few localization issues on US Version (characters displaying where English should be), it might win me over.
While, I have your attention, let me throw some other ideas out for your creative workshop.
- [ ] Hide empty note, audio and photo in views if not being used
- [ ] Tagged entries
- [ ] All note view
- [ ] All tape view
- [ ] All photo view
- [ ] Additional Entry types: location, website, drawing, mood, etc.
- [ ] Apple health integration: Steps, Daylight tracking, etc
- [ ] Ability for user to customize or remove note prompt “how was your day”
- [ ] Christmas app icon
- [ ] Apple Watch app
- [ ] Development Road map
Keep up the good work. I'll definitely keep an eye on development and revaluation should sync become available.
Response from developer
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and detailed review — it truly means a lot to me. This is my very first app, and receiving a serious, well-considered piece of feedback like yours honestly made my day. I’m really happy that the design direction and overall feeling of the app resonated with you. Regarding iCloud sync: I completely agree with you — access across devices should feel natural and standard. At the moment, because there are still many core features being built, adding sync too early would likely introduce instability and hard-to-trace bugs. For that reason, I’ve decided to postpone iCloud sync until the foundation of the app is more solid. That said, it is absolutely part of the long-term plan, and I fully intend to add it in the future. Many of the ideas you mentioned are already on my roadmap as well. Since I’m developing this app on my own, things may take a bit more time, but I’m carefully building it step by step. In the upcoming version, drawing and sticker features will be introduced — I hope you’ll enjoy them. Thank you again for your encouragement and for sharing your ideas. I’m genuinely grateful for your support, and I’m really glad you’re keeping an eye on the app’s development.
