About

BenchLog is a reloading journal built for handloaders who take load development seriously — and who want their data to stay on their own device. Log every load, track what each charge actually does downrange, and work up to the load your rifle likes best. No account. No cloud. No subscription. ALREADY KEEP A SPREADSHEET? BRING IT. Import your load log from CSV. Map the columns yourself — BenchLog shows sample values from each one so you can tell them apart — and check the preview before anything is saved. Headers split across two rows are handled. Columns it has no field for go into the load's notes instead of being dropped. Nothing is written until you say so. LOG YOUR LOADS • Record caliber, bullet, powder, charge, primer, brass, OAL, CBTO and notes • Duplicate a load to work up the next charge in one tap • Version history keeps every step of a workup • Yellow flag when a charge tops your own logged max TRACK EVERY RANGE SESSION • Enter velocities by hand or import a chronograph CSV • Live average, SD and ES as you go • Group size, MOA, distance, weather and a keeper / retest / reject verdict • Photo of the group SEE YOUR LADDER • Charge vs. velocity chart across a workup • SD at a glance to spot the flat spots KNOW YOUR INVENTORY • Track powder, bullets, primers and brass with cost • "Rounds left" forecast from your average charge • Low-stock flags EXPORT & BACK UP • Printable PDF load book • CSV export of loads, sessions and components • Full backup to a single file — and restore it anytime BUILT RIGHT • 100% offline — everything works at the range with no signal • No account, no tracking, your data never leaves the device unless YOU export it • One-time purchase unlocks unlimited loads. No subscription, ever. BenchLog stores YOUR records only. It is not load data. Always verify charges against a current published reloading manual. Start low and work up. You are responsible for your loads.

Moving off a spreadsheet is the point of this one. Import now reads headers that span two rows, tells apart columns with the same name by showing you sample values from each, and puts anything it can't map into the load's notes instead of dropping it. Tested against the column layout of the reloading workbook most people share — it now maps on its own. Cost per round finally counts brass. Set how many firings you expect from a case and it's included. If a case has a price but no case life, the cost is marked "excl. brass" rather than quietly leaving it out — so the number never looks better than it is. Personal bests, from the sessions you already logged: best group per rifle compared in MOA, best SD from ten shots up, and a season summary. Share a result as an image — group, velocity, distance, date. Your load recipe is off by default; charge and components stay yours unless you choose otherwise. Still offline. Still no account. Still one payment.
