Each day, kowtow once, light one incense, and set out one offering. Smoke grows in zhang. Parents, children, and spouses can also be written into one lineage. A kowtow adds one zhang. Plain incense and the plain offering are free. The longer an incense burns, the less smoke it adds each hour. Offerings work the same way. Use a short one while you are there, and a long one to last until tomorrow. You cannot light another until the countdown ends. If you switch, the next hour uses the new one. Smoke has five marks: 45 zhang is Small Luck, 120 is Manifest, 180 is Blessing, 240 is Shelter, and 300 is Skyward. The app can remind you when incense ends, when an offering ends, and once a day. If you have already visited that day, the daily reminder stays quiet. The chronicle keeps each day. The number in a cell is that day’s real total. Skyward starts at 300 zhang, and anything above that is still recorded. The earth mound is free. A day counts only when its smoke reaches 300 zhang. Ten such days unlock the stone grave, twenty the brick grave, and thirty the stele pavilion. The heading and inscription are yours to write, four characters each. The lineage holds a name and the years of birth and death. Leave the year of death empty, and the person is living. Living cards are green. Those who have died are brown. Elders sit above, descendants below, and spouses sit side by side. The whole tree can be shared as an image. Patron is a one-time purchase. It is not a subscription, has no trial, and does not renew. It only unlocks the five finer incenses and the five finer offerings. With the same Apple account, you can restore the purchase on the Patron page. Records stay in your iCloud. Delete the app, install it again, and sign in to the same iCloud account to bring them back. No account with the developer, no tracking, and no ads. Set the phone on its side while charging, and StandBy can show today’s smoke. The oracle is play. It does not predict fortune.
