About

Guess the line-up of planets. 8 tries. A hidden code of planets is waiting. Pick a planet for each slot, submit, and the only thing you get back is a row of stars. Everything else you work out yourself. HOW THE STARS WORK • A filled star means one planet is in the right place • An outlined star means one planet is in the code but somewhere else • The stars never tell you which planet they refer to That last point is the whole game. Two stars can mean several different things, and narrowing it down is the work. 3 SIZES OF PROBLEM • Easy — 5 planets, 3 slots • Medium — 6 planets, 4 slots • Hard — 7 planets, 5 slots 8 guesses on all three. There is also a switch for repeats: turn it on and the same planet can appear more than once in the code, which takes away the assumption most people lean on without noticing. 7 PLANETS Mars, Neptune, Earth, Saturn, Pluto, Jupiter and Uranus. 16 ACHIEVEMENTS Clear your first game, then 10, then 100. Clear every difficulty. Solve in 4 guesses, then in 3. Beat the clock — under 45 seconds on Easy, 75 on Medium, 120 on Hard. Win with repeats turned on. Beat your own best time. IF COLORS ARE HARD TO TELL APART Each planet can carry its own shape — triangle, square, diamond, star, hexagon, pentagon, drop — so you never have to rely on color. The illustrated how-to updates the moment you switch it on, so you learn the game the way you are going to play it. LEARN IT IN 8 PAGES The how-to walks through a real board: what a hit looks like, what a blow looks like, and a worked example with the counts explained. The figures are drawn with the same pieces the game uses and the counts come from the same rules, so what you see there is what you get in play. WHAT THE APP REMEMBERS Every clear is kept with its difficulty, time and number of guesses. Your best time for each difficulty and your total number of clears are shown in Settings, and the full list is there too. A NUDGE EACH MORNING An optional reminder at 8:00. Turn it off with one tap. NO ACCOUNT No sign-in, no sync service, no server. Your records are stored on your device. ALREADY PLAYING? Your clear history carries over untouched, and achievements unlock retroactively from games you have already won — so if you have cleared thirty, several unlock the first time you open this version. The app is free and shows a banner ad. A full-screen ad appears when you leave a result screen, though not every time.

What's New in Best Hit&Blow Ever

2.0

September 7, 2026

Version 2.0 The app is now in English, and a lot has been built around the game. The game itself plays exactly as before. ENGLISH Menus, settings, achievements, the how-to — all of it is now in English as well as Japanese. HOW TO PLAY, ILLUSTRATED 8 pages that walk through a real board. See what a hit looks like, what a blow looks like, and a worked example with the counts explained. The figures are drawn with the pieces the game actually uses. 16 ACHIEVEMENTS Milestones for clearing 1, 10, 25, 50 and 100 games. One for each difficulty and one for clearing all three. Solving in 4 guesses, and in 3. Speed runs under 45, 75 and 120 seconds. Winning with repeats on. Beating your own best time. SHAPES INSTEAD OF COLORS Turn on symbols and each planet carries a distinct shape, so you can tell them apart without relying on color. The how-to figures follow the setting. A DAILY REMINDER An optional nudge at 8:00, on by default and off with one tap. HISTORY AND STATISTICS Your clears are listed with difficulty, time and guess count. Best time per difficulty and total clears are shown together. RESULTS WITHOUT LEAVING THE BOARD Clearing or running out of guesses now shows a panel over the board instead of pushing a new screen, so Next game starts straight away. REPEATS MOVED The switch for repeats in the code now sits on the difficulty screen, next to the level you are choosing, because it changes the puzzle rather than the app. A BOARD THAT FITS The board is now sized from the space your device actually has. On smaller phones the header no longer slides under the navigation bar. EASIER TO READ The whole color scheme was rebuilt and every text and background pair was measured, so titles and labels are legible rather than merely on-brand. ALSO FIXED • Development builds no longer request live ad units • A game is no longer left unrecoverable when a full-screen ad fails to appear • The tracking permission text is now shown in the language you are using YOUR RECORDS Nothing is converted and nothing is deleted. Your clear history carries over exactly as it was, and achievements unlock retroactively from the games you have already won.
