Cornish Bible at last thank you and thank God
I have waited years for this and I can hardly believe it. The whole Bible in Cornish on my phone. Amazing. From what I have read so far, the standard of scholarly translation from the original texts is very high. This is a monumental work, done with minute care. A longstanding and grievous historical omission in Cornwall’s long history is now righted.
The literary precision in rendering these ancient scriptures into a modern Celtic language is outstanding. I know and love these texts in English, but reading them again in Cornish opens a new door of understanding. I want a hard copy.
I would like to thank the translators. Thank you for taking the long view. The fruits of your labours may seem small initially but you have laid a missing foundation stone by completing this work, and the potential for what may be built upon this in coming centuries is immense.
