Bugs not fixed after so many years

I purchased a Bible version on this apps for a long time & using it daily for my spiritual journey. It was good until the recent few years there’s this bug that I had been reporting to developer frequently. But till todate this issue has not been eradicated.. the daily plan just doesn’t show up even when I had enabled the daily plan button.. it is frustrating to have to be facing this so frequently & that the developer is not very responsive & it takes a long time & few chasers reports before I see that issue is “temporary” resolved. And then again some day it just disappears again. I am sure the developer can do better than this.

Nice app

Nice Catholic Bible app, but it would be much better if it has search function.

Annoying ads

I am so disappointed that my peaceful prayer time is interrupted with banner ads for the Book of Mormon while I read my CATHOLIC Bible! :(

FAQ

What is the Catholic Public Domain Version (CPDV) of the Bible?

The Catholic Public Domain Version (CPDV) is a translation of the Holy Bible based on the Sixtus V and Clement VIII Latin Vulgate edition. It was translated and edited by Ronald L. Conte Jr. and is placed in the public domain.

How does this version differ from the New American Bible (NAB)?

This translation is not the New American Bible (NAB), and therefore, some parts, such as the Psalms numbering, will be slightly different. You can compare the Psalms numbering with the CPDV online at www.sacredbible.org.

Is this translation approved by the Catholic Church?

No, this specific translation, the Catholic Public Domain Version (CPDV), is NOT approved by the Catholic Church. For approved versions, the developer suggests searching for their other apps like 'Catholic New American Bible Revised Edition' or 'Catholic All-In-1'.

What is the source text for this translation?

The primary source text for the CPDV is the 1914 Hetzenauer edition of the Vulgate. Several other Latin editions were consulted, including the 1861 Vercellone edition and the 1822-1824 Leander van Ess edition. The Challoner Douay-Rheims Version was used as a guide for the English translation.

Is this app free to use?
