Need an ad free version
I got tired of opening it in church and getting a stupid ad. I wanted a paid version that’s ad free but I can’t find one. Bible Gateway is a great product but swimming through the traps upon opening drove me away. I purchased a Study Bible app, no ads and a better search engine. Too bad.
Not what it used to be
Don’t know what happy to this app, but it’s impossible to listen to. It won’t hold where you stopped so you can go forward the next time you open it like it used to. Sometimes it just stops after one chapter. Sometimes the voice changes. Not useful to me anymore.

I used to really appreciate Bible gateway! I will never ever use them again because their ads are ridiculous unless you want to pay!

Gone down hill
There all of a sudden glitches and so many ads I can’t figure out how to navigate away from. Bye bye.
This used to a great app
I’ve used this app for a long time sadly, since it became an ad based app, this app is completely gone downhill from where it once was.
I’m not using this app anymore. There’s other apps that are out there that don’t have ads that have better interface usefulness. This particular app is no longer relevant.
I still use Bible gateway when I need to look stuff up on the Internet, but as far as mobile app, this is not the app anymore Which is a sad thing because I really loved the app. They’ve completely butchered this thing.

Going into the Bible option then closes the app and needs to be reloaded up again 😒

REMOVE TPT
Not interested in an app, that promotes (by allowing it on your platform) the misuse of scripture and condones the plagiarism blanked in the text of The Passion “Translation”. Shame on you all for your continued silence. That silence has been heard loud and clear! Deleting my account, deleting the app and not looking back!

Good Bible app
This app is my favorite Bible app to use, but it’s still frustrating that it doesn’t keep your place with the audio Bible option. It had been doing better, then an update changed that again. When I open it, it goes back to where I started the day before. I keep track by using a sticky note app on my phone, which works fine.

This was my go to bible on my phone and with the new update it won’t even open.

Not for iPad
Pretty unstable for iPad Pro. Sometimes it works sometimes it does not, no documentation to figure out how to control it.
Why is there a subscription?
God gave us the word of God and salvation for free. Why are humans charging for using and learning the word of God? I am just trying to read and learn about His Word and suddenly i get an ad. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW DISTRACTING THIS IS WHILE YOU ARE SEARCHING A VERSE OR TRYING TO READ AND UNDERSTAND GOD’S WORD. ITS UNBELIEVABLE HOW CORRUPTED THE HUMAN IS. IF YOU ARE TRYING TO DO SUBSCRIPTIONS AND MICRO-TRANSACTIONS, AND GET MONEY FROM PEOPLE, YOU SHOULD GET A PROGRAM BENEFIT FROM THE GOVERNMENT WHERE THEY CAN SPONSOR YOU OR WHOEVER OWNS THIS. THERE SHOULD BE OPTIONS FOR DONATIONS. DID JESUS CHRIST CHARGE THE HUMANS FOR ETERNAL LIFE? HE DIDN’T AND HE DID IT FOR FREE BECAUSE HE LOVES uUS. Leave well enough alone.
Why did you change your gateway bible app? What was so wrong with it? You should of left well enough alone! Now when you look up a chapter to read you have all these extra stuff attached to it. To much distraction is going on. Why? For a update? What kind of update is this? I wish I would have never updated this app. We really enjoyed the old one.

I can’t highlight in the app.
I can’t find a place to leave a message, and I’m frustrated. I would not have chosen to make this public - oh well. I can’t highlight or take notes on the app. I can do these things on a browser. I love this app so much that I bought the plus version. I did all the things: sign out then sign in, deleted the app then downloaded it again. Please help me with this issue. I’d be really sad if I had to cancel my subscription.

Not so much for the app itself as the website ad filtering
This morning, I opened the website to find a scripture in another translation.
Multiple ads popped up containing photos of a nearly naked woman for a lingerie company.
There are ways to filter ads. You either don’t care enough to be intentional about that, or you’re not well enough informed. I highly doubt the latter consider how well known and big this website / platform is.
I’m not offended by seeing the female form, but I’m disappointed at the thought that this could be something a brother in Christ, a young child, or someone else struggling may see.
Please do a better job of filtering what companies come through on your the websites ads, or don’t have pop up ads at all.
