Bible, Verse by Verse

The Bible, one verse at a time. Open the app and a verse is waiting. Swipe for the next one. Every verse is taken word for word from a named edition, with a checksum per verse. No line of Scripture in this app is written by a computer. YOUR CHURCH, YOUR BIBLE Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox or Anglican. Say once where you feel at home and the app picks the edition for you. Where your language has no edition with the books your church reads, the app says so and offers one that has. Not sure? Just start reading. No other editions are pushed on you. 75 BIBLES IN 60 LANGUAGES Open and public-domain editions, checked verse by verse before they are offered. Bibles you download stay on your phone. EVERY DAY • A verse of the day, with a home-screen widget and a lock-screen widget. • A reminder at the hour you choose, scheduled on your phone — no server involved. • For Catholics: today's Mass readings, from the Bible you read. READ ON • Read the whole chapter around any verse, and mark it read. • Reading plans: the Bible in a year, or the New Testament in 90 days, at your own pace. • Search a word or jump to a reference. • Look up related verses. • Keep the verses you want to keep, and share a verse as a card. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. Your choice of Bible, your progress and your saved verses stay on your phone; what you read is never sent anywhere. We only count how the app is used, anonymously. FREE The free version shows ads, the paid one does not. Bibles are offered only where the license allows it, and every edition names its publisher and license in the app. Terms (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy policy: https://versebyverse.app/privacy
