About

The Bible mentions countless places. Yet many of us read their names without truly knowing where they were located or how they relate to the modern world. This app was created to help you explore biblical places on a modern map, with clarity, context, and care. - Biblical geography on the map The app organizes cities, regions, rivers, and mountains mentioned in Scripture and presents them directly on a modern map. Rather than listing names alone, it allows you to see where each place may correspond today, visually and intuitively. - Not limited to a single location Ancient places often cannot be identified with certainty. Instead of forcing a single answer, this app presents multiple candidate locations with probability estimates. This approach reflects the academic reality of biblical geography and helps users understand both possibility and uncertainty. - Built on verified data All geographic information in the app is based on widely used, publicly available biblical geography datasets. Each place clearly displays its data sources. Unverified claims or personal interpretations are intentionally excluded. What you see is information grounded in verifiable research, not speculation. - Clear explanations for each place Every location includes a thoughtfully written description that reflects its biblical and historical background. These explanations are organized using verified geographic data and historical references, helping users understand the meaning and context behind each place. - Connected to Scripture Places on the map are directly linked to the biblical passages in which they appear. This allows users to move naturally between map and text— exploring Scripture spatially as well as textually. - Simple and structured exploration Despite the depth of information, the app remains easy to use. You can explore places by: 1. Biblical book 2. Place type 3. Keyword search Everything is designed to stay organized and accessible. - Who this app is for 1. Readers curious about the locations mentioned in Scripture 2. Students of biblical geography 3. Pastors and teachers preparing lessons or sermons 4. Anyone seeking to understand the Bible in its geographic context A different way to read the Bible. See Scripture through the map.
