BibleSlate

BibleSlate is a free Bible reader with a stone-tablet reading surface. Open any of the 66 books and read the bundled text without an internet connection. Six text editions are included: World English Bible (WEB), King James Version (KJV), Berean Standard Bible (BSB), Chinese Union Version in Simplified and Traditional Chinese, and Reina-Valera 1909 in Spanish. The interface is available in English and Simplified Chinese. Swipe between pages and adjust text size, typeface and line spacing. Add notes, save passages and return to your place in each book. Notes, saved passages and reading progress are stored locally on your device. No account is required, and records do not automatically sync between devices. For listening, choose an available online recording separately from the text you read. Reading positions and listening progress are remembered separately. Recordings include Mandarin dramatized narration from Bible Brain, human narration and a clearly labeled prerecorded synthetic Spanish voice. Text and recording wording may differ; source information and credits are shown in the player. Audio streams need an internet connection; recordings are not bundled for offline playback. Online audio providers receive connection and request data, and some retain it for security or aggregate analytics. See the privacy policy for details. Free to download and use. No ads or in-app purchases.
