User reviews

Super appreciate this app

Am very thankful to be able to study vocab according to the textbook I’m using. Thank you! Some of the translations are not exactly what the textbook and thus my prof are requiring. The text may have been updated (Practico & Van Pelt). I would love to see a feature in the Review option where I can rate whether I got the card correct or not and have the incorrect cards repeat themselves until I indicate I got them correct.

UPDATE: appreciated the response from the developer and hearing they’re reviewing the vocab and textbooks and adding features. Thanks!

Response from developer

You were right about the textbook, and thank you for flagging it. Basics of Biblical Hebrew has moved editions since those lists were built, and I am auditing them against the current edition now. On your other request, version 3.0 added exactly that. You can rate each card Again, Hard, Good, or Easy, and the ones you miss come back sooner until they stick.

Great App

Very pleased with the app. I detected a small error that the developer immediately fixed. Great response!

Response from developer

Thank you, and this is exactly the report I needed. You are right. The Basics of Biblical Hebrew lists were built against an earlier edition and have drifted, and you are not the first person to hit this. I am auditing those lists against the 4th edition now, and my plan is to support multiple editions side by side so nobody gets broken by an update. If you can tell me which chapters are furthest off, that would speed things up a lot. My email is ctclements@gmail.com.

Great App

Very pleased with the app. One request: it seems that the Basics of Biblical Hebrew lessons are not lining up with the vocabulary for my book (4th edition)—could this be adjusted? Thanks!

Would like some audio Hebrew

I think this is a great app. The audio on the Greek words is very helpful and I would certainly pay an additional price to have some Hebrew words pronounced.

Very helpful

Have tried a few other apps for learning Biblical Hebrew for Master’s Program—this is the best. Easy to use, works with a few different curriculums (I’m using Van Pelt’s); love the ability to customize vocab lists. Developer was also super quick in correspondence & app suggestions. Highly recommend.

Response from developer

Thank you, this means a lot. Since you are using Van Pelt, one heads up: I am auditing those lists against the current edition of Basics of Biblical Hebrew right now, because a few students have found chapters that no longer line up. If you spot any while you study, send them my way and I will get them fixed. Good luck with the rest of your program.
