About

Biblio is a personal digital library for iPhone and iPad. It collects your biblions from various sources in one place and lets you read them by sight, by hearing, or by touch. What is a biblion? A biblion is an authored work that you receive as a complete whole. What you used to call an “audiobook”, “e-book”, “podcast episode”, or “audiotext book” is called, in Biblio, “audio biblion”, “text biblion”, or “biblion with synchronization”. Biblio is designed for both sighted and visually impaired readers. All app features are accessible to both groups. VoiceOver users have an additional special gesture mode optimized for fast control without having to focus individual on-screen elements. You can choose any biblion form that suits you (audio, text, synchronization). A sighted user in a car picks the audio form; a visually impaired user with a Braille display picks the text form; anyone can pick synchronization to see and hear the text at the same time. App features: - your own library, into which you add biblions from multiple sources (KTN, NDK, Gutenberg, KDD, Camelot, podcast feeds, your own files) – more sources to be added - a choice of form when reading each biblion (audio / text / synchronization – depending on availability). - machine speech for text biblions (TTS) and machine transcription of audio biblions into text - a personal AI librarian that can search, add, download, and sort biblion and group them into series - synchronization between your devices via iCloud - Apple Watch companion for controlling the player from your wrist - CarPlay for listening in the car - metadata retrieved from the National Digital Library (NDK), Wikidata, and other reference sources SUBSCRIPTION All of Biblio is behind a subscription, including biblions you have already downloaded. New subscribers get the first week free. - Biblio Monthly: USD 6.99 per month - Biblio Yearly: USD 79.90 per year, 5% cheaper than monthly Prices shown are for the United States; elsewhere they follow the local price level and the app shows them before you buy. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, renewal 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple ID account settings. What's New in Biblio Digital Library

1.0.4

September 24, 2026

Playback now offers a wider range of speeds, from 0.5× to 3× in nine steps. The same choice applies in the player, on the lock screen, in CarPlay and on Apple Watch. If you use VoiceOver, you can turn on Read with the VoiceOver voice in Settings under Reading voice. Continuous reading, gesture mode and the NDK and scan readers will then speak with the same voice, rate and pitch you have set in VoiceOver, including automatic language switching. In gesture mode the speech rate now goes up to 200%. VoiceOver rotors now start from where you are reading or listening. In the player, Chapters and Tracks move without the boundary sound, and after the last chapter or track they continue with the first. In the reader, next chapter really takes you to the next one instead of the beginning of the biblion, and when you open bookmarks and close them without choosing one, you return to where you were. When browsing the KTN collection, each entry now shows how long the recording is and who narrated it. When a work has several recordings, they all open right in the listing, so you can pick an edition without waiting and without extra questions. The author and narrator indexes now list only names that actually have something you can open in Biblio, so you no longer land on empty lists. We also fixed older newspaper and magazine issues disappearing. Issues are now looked up by what the series actually contains, so everything you have downloaded is back in the periodical card. Podcasts that publish their episodes at older unencrypted addresses can now be added, downloaded and played. VoiceOver stays in an open reader or player instead of slipping into the library underneath. And the library no longer rebuilds itself under the player on every jump or pause, so the player responds more quickly. If something does not work the way it should, send us a report straight from the app. It is anonymous and a few words are enough. Most fixes start exactly there.
